Arriving Thanksgiving Day

Hello everybody!

Our family is making our first Disney trip over Thanksgiving, and I have been devouring the info on these boards to plan the perfect trip. Many thanks for all the great advice so far!

Our flight arrives around 3:30 on Thanksgiving Day, so we thought that after checkin, we'd just head to Epcot for a dinner and watch the Illuminations. However, Tourguide Mike's site recommends avoiding Epcot on Thanksgiving.

With the limited time that we'll have that day, which park do you recommend we head to for our very first glimpse of Disney? Yikes - I'm giddy just thinking about it...woo hoo!

I think Magic Kingdom would be THE perfect first visit ever park to see. It is so magical

Thanks for your reply. That's a whole new way of looking at it for me. I was thinking about saving Magic Kingdom for the last day, sorta for a grand finale, but I will reconsider.
