We are scheduled to fly in on the day of our cruise in May. We can't fly in the night before due to work requirements. We're trying to decide between 2 flights. One flight is non stop on Jetblue arriving at MCO at 1:43pm and the other has a layover in Atlanta, arriving at 11:35am.

Is it better to take the direct flight even though it's arriving later, or should we book the flight arriving earlier, even though it has a layover?

Thanks!

I say do the earlier flight with the layover, only because you will have more time to grab luggage, get there etc. Why stress yourselves out rushing if you don't have to? Plus you may get more time on that first day on the ship.:)
Just my 2 cents worth.

Since those are your only options as far as times go, I would definitely do the one that gets in earlier. I would also recommend you get trip insurance and use Disney transfers (if you're going on a Disney cruise) since maybe they would wait a little longer if you do wind up with a flight delay. Since you have to be onboard by 4 and the ship departs at 5 I would be afraid of flight delays, traffic jams, etc. You may also want to pose this question over on the Disney cruise section of the board. Lots of people over there have done similar things and could probably offer good suggestions. Good luck! :goodvibes
