Will anybody else out there be late for work on the 7th or 10th of April to make sure and get the free dining codes for their existing reservations or to make a new free dining reservation? I read on another thread that one lady said that she was on hold for 2.5 hours with Disney right when they opened up at 7 a.m. last year. I have a reservation already made and I have a Disney Visa so I am wondering, should I be a couple of hours late for work, or just try to get it done on my lunch break around 12:30. What say you?

Not me :)

I'm going in August with a 40% PIN-- free dining isn't part of my plans.

Besides, I'm a teacher. Coming in late because you were planning your vacation is not a good idea.

No I guess not being a teacher. But my job allows for so many hits on your attendance for whatever reason you choose. And a couple of hours won't hurt my good attendance at all.

That's great; I hope you get the resort you want for the dates you want.

The rumors have it for September, possibly the end of August. The rumor mill also has it being released April 10, possibly 3 days earlier for Disney Visa holders.

So stop back to the Dis each morning and afternoon for the next few weeks if it sounds like your dates might coincide.

I would contact - NOW - a Disney Specialist like DISBoards sponsor Dreams Unlimited, or Small World Travel, and let them book your trip. They're generally working right at 7 AM, calling Disney and making your reservations.

Oh, I really don't mind being a little late for work that day!  I am really wondering just how fast can the free dining sell out for "hopefully" the value hotels.

I booked it last year a short time before the promo ended and got the dates, resorts, and most of the ADR's that I wanted.

This is why I booked my Sept trip through DU....I have no interest whatsoever in sitting on hold, listening to Disney music, for hours on end. Been there, done that..not doing it again. I'm more than capable of booking my own stuff, but my time is money (well, it is to me anyway!!). So, my DU agent, when she gets back from vacation, can sit on the phone!! Besides, I like to be able to use DU once in awhile and since I bought DVC it happens less and less.
