Is there a fee for using the DCL Buses?

I vote for the Disney resort preferably one with a boat to DS. Our original plan was to stay at POFQ and take the bus to Disney springs. We did change plans and do a park day when we heard illuminations was ending though.

We just stayed at the Hyatt prior to our four night cruise. I will say that they told us to have our bags ready for pick up by 8:30 am and that we could board the bus starting at 9:30. It took forever. We didn’t get on a bus until 11-11:15. It didn’t seem like there were that many people but they were brutally slow. Not sure why as we have done many other DCL cruises and it’s never been that slow.

That said, we love the Hyatt. Not so much moving around right before boarding. The food court in the mall closed at 9 pm though so you need to be prepared for that. Love their rooftop pool!

I also agree, if you do go to WDW stay at POFQ or POR and use the boat to Disney Springs. It’s an enjoyable evening.

I debated this question a lot before our recent cruise (last week) and ultimately decided on WDW
We stayed at Coronado Springs and went to Mickey's Not so Scary hallowe'en party the night before the cruise and had a great time. It was a nice start to our vacation (a Halloween cruise on Dream)
Our bus didn't leave CS until around noon on the day of the cruise. When we arrived at the cruise terminal it was open boarding so there was no line for security or for entering the ship and our stateroom was ready.
The morning of the cruise we had a nice breakfast and swam at the Dig Site pool at the hotel. Super fun.

We ended up having a day use room at the Hyatt the day we flew home (we had a late flight). The hotel is very nice but my son found the rooftop pool a bit boring after the excitement of the WDW pool (and water slide!) and the cruise pool
