Arrived at OKW last night

We arrived 3.5 lated due to the storms, but that was OK. It was pouring all day and would have been stuck in the room with no food so all is well.

My DB and DSIL checked in yesterday too. They were able to tell us which building we were in (front desk told them), so we didn't worry about our requests. DB was able to take us to the grocery store so we shopped, had dinner and went to bed.

We are in building 29 - one of our requests. First floor though - I forgot to request 2nd or 3rd. The only complaint I have about our room is no view. We are in the middle of a rain forest. They say it is sunny, but we can only see about an inch of the sky. Bummed about that, but oh well. That's all the complaining I'm going to do. All is good.

I have no problems with any of the renos. Nothing bothers me. I love the floor, but we have it at home too, and love it.

Spending the day at the pool. Being in building 29 I really wish we could use that foot bridge that we would like built over the river. It would come in handy this week being across the street from the pool

The biggest issue being in building 29 (other than the no view part) is that you are likely under a GV, and THAT can be very noisy if you have a lot of people on those hardwood floors above you. The GVs had the real hardwood renovated instead of removing it for vinyl.

Just left OKW yesterday

We love it there!!!

We were in Building 22. It rained almost every day, but we still had a great time.

Driving back home to IL at this very moment.

Have a great time! I'll be there in exactly one month - we are sharing a one bedroom with my DSIS and brother-in-law - grown-ups only for a few nights! We requested building 33 3rd floor - love the views there. We love the new decor too - spent Christmas there with everyone and it was very homey to us, but then again OKW is our favourite for just the deck alone!

Glad you had a great time. We normally go during spring break, but won't get to go that time of year for the next 4 years due to DS's baseball! How dare they mess with our Disney trips! Love watching him play, though, so all is good.

We will be at BC in July, but hoping to talk DH and the kids into staying at OKW if we go over Christmas. Just thinking about it warms my heart!

We also stayed at OKW just last week and loved the space. I know I read about the lack of elevators, but it completely escaped me so it was a shock for me We have 3 kids, 2, 4, 6 and strollers so poor DH had to carry the strollers up and down. We also had 7-9 luggages... poor porters. Next time, we'll request the 1st floor if we stay again in OKW! At least, until the strollers are no longer needed.

I stayed in building 28 once and had the same complaint. We were on the second floor but the room was very dark because of the trees. That was probably my least favorite room of the 7 or 8 times I've stayed at OKW. After that, I requested water view and Turtle Pond and got great views.

Diane - no GV above us as we are on the end. Just the second floor. I would much rather hear the people above us and have a view. This one sucks as it is non-existant.
