We will be in Disney the end of October (24-31). If MK opens at 9am, what time should we plan on arriving at the park? We are staying at the Yacht Club, what time will the buses start running?

Thanks

Last week the buses at Yacht Club for AK and MK started running about 8:20 for 9:00 openings. The official start time was 8:30, but they both arrived earlier.

Be aware that since only 6 parties can be accommodated on each bus, it is a good idea to be in line early to give yourselves a better chance to get on the first bus.

Thanks. It sounds like you can’t enter the park at 9:00 if you have to take a bus. Is that correct?

The bus travel time from all resorts to the MK gates takes under 15 minutes.

I have to assume that the late start times are due to the newer, delayed everything at WDW. I know in the past we've had breakfast ADRs before park open and obviously the buses ran much earlier in order to get to the parks. I don't know the exact times from before but I have to believe they would start at least 90 minutes before park openings in the past.

If we get in line at 8:15 for the bus, will that be ok, or should we get there earlier?

Like everything else at WDW...
It can vary due to, well, everything.

Personal opinion: I would arrive at 9:30 after the rope drop crowd has entered and dispersed.

Here now. The best best hour, by far, has been 8:30-9:30. After that, things are okay until 11 or so, when the waits get too long for my family. I would be in line for transportation before 8:00 (this past weekend, they started running transportation earlier than advertised, and you want to be in the first bus or two). On Sunday, we rode 7DMT, Peter Pan and Thunder Mountain all before 9:00.
