Really enjoy all the great advice here:love: . Need to know for EE on a Sat. do we need to be to in line at 6:30 or is close to 7:00 ok? :coffee:

If EE starts at 7 am, I would be in line before 6:30, but I like to be FIRST! :lmao:

I'd suggest arriving sometime between 6:30 and 7:00 if you aren't as concerned about being at the front of the EE line.

What days are EE currently on? Besides Saturday -- that I know now!
Thanks.

EE is Mon/Tue/Thurs/Sat.

Under normal circumstance, I agree 30 minutes early at the gate is a good goal. On summer weekdays then 15 minutes early also works in case you are running a little late, but man do the lines grow in the 15 minutes before EE actually starts.

If you are going after June 11, then this summer it will not be "normal circumstances". There is some info out there that Nemo Subs will be open for EE, which will change everything as far as arrival times and impact on the Fantasyland lines (it would reduce lines there). If Nemo is open for EE I would definitely make it to the gates 30 minutes early and no later.

Feedback from those going the week of June 11 will be helpful to guide the rest of us whether 30 minutes early is sufficient.

Sorry I forgot to mention we'll be there Sat June 9th for EE, but your advice is what I was expecting. Guess we'll set the alarm extra early that day:rolleyes: .

I read in a thread somewhere earlier or maybe in a guidebook to do TTMM the same day as early entry --does this make sense:confused3 ? Or would it be better to go on Fri June 8th?

Thanks again, you guys are awesome:cheer2: !

For everyone's info, EE is Mon/Tue/Thurs/Sat and TTMM is Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat. So if you are going to do them on the same day, it can only be on Mon or Sat. I am not sure if there is any benefit or drawback to doing them both on the same day other than with EE you know you are already in the park. If you TTMM on a different day that means you will have to be sure to get to DL early on a whole separate day.

I agree with other posters, be there at 6:30am. The point of early entry is to get on as many rides as possible in that short hour. A mistake some of our party made was stopping to get pictures on their way in. If you will be there for several days, plan accordingly to make the most of your time. :hourglass

for a 7:00am EE, you can get there at 6:45 - 6:50, and you will be fine. We were there President's week, and did EE 3 times, and always got in line 5-10 minutes before opening. We have older kids, so they weren't so interested in FantasyLand, they were more interested in Space Mountain. We did SM at least twice each EE without any wait, and then hit Buzz (at least twice), and then hit Matterhorn.

If you are more interested in FantasyLand rides, you probably want to get in line as early as possible.

Don't try this in the summer, and especially don't try it this summer after Nemo Subs open. After Nemo opens everyone who wants to be able to get their money's worth from EE should be there 30 minutes early. At least until the visitors after June 11 tell us differently.

I don't disagree with the previous posters, but don't entirely agree either. While getting there at 6:30 is a good idea, you'll be fine if you are running a little late. It's been my experience that 6:40 is almost as good; after that, you will start loosing time.

I usually stay on-site in part because I believe EE is a must. I always go in the busy season since I can't take my teenager out of school. Over the past couple of years I've gone in mid June, early August (twice; once shortly after SM reopened), and just before Christmas (twice), usually getting three EEs per visit. I've been the first through the castle a couple of times, and have been the first guest on Peter Pan or other rides several times. Generally, several gates will open for EE, and the the CMs will often scan several tickets before the gates actually open, so if you are pretty close up in one of the many lines, you will get in quickly. I usually aim for 1/2 hour before opening, but have been as late as around 15 minutes before opening, and did not suffer too badly for it. BTW, the least crowded EE I ever went to was on a Saturday; that's certainly not the rule though.

Which gates as a rule open for EE? How do you know which ones to wait at? I was thinking that as we will be getting breakfast from the concierge lounge which does not open until 6:30am DH could go and wait in line for 6:30am whilst I go into the lounge to grab a few pasteries and bottles of juice for breakfast and then meet DH in line. However having never been before I would need to tell DH where to wait so I could easily find him in line. I would hate for him to line up at a gate that isn't going to open!

I agree, but 6:50 is cutting it too close IMO in the summer. 6:40-6:45 will work pretty well if you are running late, but once Nemo opens all bets are off.

It will not be hard to tell which gates are open. The only confusion is if you arrive for EE after it starts and others are showing up for regular park opening. As long as you are there by the time EE itself starts pretty much everyone there is there for EE all lines are EE lines.

I have this thing about being first in line at EE. So, I go early, very early. I usually ask a CM behind the gates if it's odd or even-numbered gates to line up in front of, and they tell me which they are using for EE that day.

does anyone know if Nemo will be an EE ride? THat would definitely have an impact on EE crowds.
