Ok, my flight arrives at 5:30pm. We will be using a towncar service and only stopping at a gas station. I am having food shipped just need to pick up beer :rolleyes1 What time do you think we will arrive at the hotel for check in. Trying to decide what to do that first night. Thanks.

10 minute walk/ride to baggage claim, maybe a 15-20 minute wait there, then 5 minutes for the driver to get the car and such. Maybe a 25 minute ride to your resort plus 10 minutes for the detour and beer stop. 65-70 minutes total, so figure resort arrival around 6:40 p.m. if your flight is on-time, baggage claim isn't backed up, there's no unusual traffic, and there's no long line at the beer stop.

If you're staying at a Disney resort, check-in will take a minimum of 10 minutes, plus waiting in line. I've never had a quick WDW check-in experience before.

OK thanks. So we should be in our room by say 7:45? That will give us plenty of time to unpack, grab something to eat at the food court and walk the resort for awhile. Maybe even take a dip into the pool. I just wanted to make sure we would have enough time to get settled and to bed fairly early so we can start fresh the next day.
