I understand the party starts at 7pm. When should we arrive to MK? We will be in Epcot before heading over to MK, is it okay to wear our costumes at Epcot or will we look out of place? We are trying to save the time of heading back to the resort and changing into our costumes. Thanks in advance!

You will not be able to wear your costumes at Epcot since costumes for adults are not permitted in the parks, other than at the parties. Your option might be to put a bag with your costumes in a locker, then find somewhere to change when you get to MK.

You can enter MK at 4:00 with your party ticket. You cannot wear your costumes to Epcot.

Also, are there any QS or TS restaurants open in MK during the party?

Yes but it's usually limited (one or 2 locations). Check your party map when you enter the park for the party.

Also you mentioned going to Epcot - if you have a park hopper you could get in even earlier than 4. We have APs so we always get IN the park about 3 or 3:30 then get our wrist bands inside the park after 4. That way we don't hit a rush of people coming in at 4 for the party.

We are going to MK at 3 the day of our party for early dinner at The Plaza and then hitting some rides with FP before the party starts.

You are aware that you may not be permitted to use your party ticket for entry that early, which means you are essentially 'wasting' a day's ticket (unless of course you have APs).

We are APs, so getting into MK early is not the problem. Getting into MK that early without a place to eat is my concern. We have dinner scheduled at Chefs de France at 4:10 in Epcot. Do you guys feel that reservation is early enough to get back to the front of Epcot, change into costume and then monorail to MK at a decent time? Should we try to catch dinner at a resort along the way instead? I'm worried that if dinner takes too long in Epcot we'll be arriving at MK during rush hour. Any suggestions?

My comment above was aimed at GeorgiaHoo in response to her comment about getting to the park at 3pm.

As far as your reservation at Chefs de France, I can't see you arriving at MK until at least 6pm, if not later. And that is not allowing any time to get changed. Personally, I would be aiming to have an early dinner at a monorail/MK resort, where you can get changed afterwards and then leave your bags at the lockers in MK. And aiming to arrive at MK between 4 and 5pm.

Cosmic Rays is open during the party, that's our usual dinner spot.
We enter the MK in full costume between 5-5:30, ready to go.

What I would suggest is heading over to the MK at about 4 and eating at a counter. There are people that like table service and I do too but party evening isn't a time I like to fiddle with it. When we were on the free dining, we always ate lunch somewhere for table service that day. We always got in around 4, rode a few rides, ate at Cosmic Rays, and then rode a few more rides (the park is usually not even remotely crowded) and then still had time to head on over to our most favored character line prior to the party starting. That way, you're there. You've beaten the rush to get in. You've eaten. You're ready to go. No rushes. No hassles.

Also, are there any QS or TS restaurants open in MK during the party?

QS - Main St Bakery, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Casey's Corner, Pecos Bill, Sleepy Hollow, Columbia Harbor House (until 8), Pinocchio Village Haus (till 8), Friar's Nook (until 10), Gaston's, Cosmic Ray's, Cool Ship (until 11), Lunching Pad (until 9)

My family will only sit down at a TS if the ADR is by 5PM and in the MK. If not then we generally get to the park by 4 and have dinner at Columbia Harbor House and then we are good to go.
