Arrival Gift Basket Ideas from Mickey!

You know, I have noticed that Wal-Mart has a TON of Disney stuff. Maybe some of the stuff isn't spectacular, but they may have the hair accessories you are looking for. Good Luck!!

Great ideas. I personally had not thought about this, but now it is on my list.

I have compiled a list of things from the many replies here.

One thing I will put in there is a watch for my DD. They have these character watches at Wal-Mart (less than $20 if I remember right). They are nice, but not so expensive that you have to worry about a 6 year old wearing it around every where. The Tinkerbell watch was great! I will get that unless I can spot an Ariel....may just get both. Thats my current .02.

Is there any way to get the Pal Mickey other than at the resort or parks??

 Exactly one month till WDW....oh yah...oh yah...oh yah

I don't think I have ever seen a Disney disposable camera, but my DS did buy her DD a Disney Princess 35mm camera for Christmas. And there are a whole lot of differant snack items that you can get at the grocery store, including fruit snacks that come in a variety of characters.

Just an FYI I don't think that Creative Memories sells the Disney Album anymore.

I am making one for her too. I have bought a mickey shirt for her wear on the way down there. I bought some disney playing cards, minnie facecloth , stickers, princesses pencil and book for her and mickey mouse photo album.and very cool glow in the dark necklaces and also glow in the dark headbands that actually look like mickey mouse ears. Then I have to buy an autograph book and marker. I love the idea of writing a note to say about getting a hug from you. We have a reservation for chef mickeys the first night so that would make a lot of sense. I also want to write a note for daughter the morning before psb from sleeping beauty saying I can hardly wait to see you .
thanks for the ideas
Diane

Glow headband in the shape of ears..........where did you find those? I have to have some!

I am in Canada so they are at my dollerama store. THey are only 1.00 ... dont you think they are cool. I thought so too and so different.

The Creative Memories Disney Albums are on sale until April. They are great!

I am not sure if you have a Kohls near you but they always have a lot of Disney hair accessories for girls. Wal-Mart and Target always have neat Disney things ....just have to check everytime you go.

Have fun!

I like to include Disney bath products. I have used bubble bath from Walmart or Target (just the inexpensive bottles with Disney characters on the label), and last year I found Disney princess bath sets at Sears that included bubble bath and lotion. My DD likes to use them at home after the trip. She says the smells make her feel like she's at Disney World again!

Does anyone know how much the prices are marked up with Gifts of a Lifetime or the e-bay shopper site for example on Mickey Ears or lanyards? I don't know what these items cost in the parks, so i can't judge how much more expensive it is to get these from one of these sites. It would be nice to have some of these items in advance, but if they are marked up too much I can wait till we get there!

Thanks!!

Good. I didn't see them in the last catalog I got from my CM consultant a couple of weeks ago, they just had the stickers and die cut sets. I need to order one for my friends DS's. We are taking them on a surprise trip to WDW in June and I want to make them an album an album when we get back.

Last year my dad's wife gave my dd's disposable princess cameras. I can't remember for sure, but I believe she found them at Target.

The lanyard vary based on how fancy they are. You can get plain ones with no pins for $6. If you get a starter set with pins, they run $25 at World Of Disney. Mickey Ears from World Of Disney are $7. You have to take them to The Days Of Christmas store to be embroidered. GOH badges are $6. The blue autograph books with Mickey and friends on the front are $6.95. The princess autograph book is $10.95.

Hope this helps!

I'd love to know if anyone here as used either the 'Gifts of a Lifetime' or e-bay shopper, mentioned on this thread? I like the idea of what they have available, but want to be sure they're 'valid' shoppers and 'value' product. Sure would be nice to get some of those items ahead of time to prepare for the trip. I actually wanted to do something for my kids, leading up to our departure...maybe a little something a few days before, counting down!

Thanks :flower:

Not sure if this store is nationwide but Claire's in our malls have a lot of Disney things. I saw girls' hairbrushes with Tink on them, small plastic purse type bags with Tink, bracelets, headbands, etc. with Disney characters. Claire's also had lots of pretty tiaras (with different decorations) that would go perfectly with a princess dress.

Our Wal Mart has some of the nicer character watches but they also have a lot that have just the plastic wristbands & they are only $6.97. Some have been marked down to $5 & there were many characters to choose from. They weren't all in one display but scattered all over the jewelry dept. In the hosiery dept. at WM, you can find sneaker socks with Pooh characters on the back (the part that keeps the sock heel from working down into the shoe.)

I found some adorable soft tiny squeeze Energizer brand flashlights at ToysRus for 40cents each. They are in the shape of our favorite disney characters! At the 40cent rate, they had Monsters Inc and Lion King. You could hang them from a string and let the kids wear them around their necks in the evening, or on the darker rides (they don't give off much light) They also had the Incredibles line, but I think those are still full price (4 or $5 each).

I am also including little portable radios w/headphones (The Disney Store, $6) and sunglasses, in addition to some of the things mentioned by previous posters. Oh..and tickets to La Nouba.

Did you get the toys s us flash lights today? I'll have to check it out first thing in the morning!
