Arrival day - what time to book first FP?

Flight is scheduled to arrive at MCO at 7:50. We will take DME to ASMu, drop our bags with bell services, and proceed to MK.

Usually I like to make FP as soon as possible in the morning, so I can start my refreshing. What time would be good to book the first? I was thinking 10:30 as the first time slot.

That would probably be fine assuming your flight is on time. If you go the worst case scenario, 15 minutes to DME, hour and a half to resort, an hour from bus to MK, 15 minutes through security and bag check and 15 minutes walk to your first attraction, puts you at around 11:00.
To be cautious, I would do the least desired FP attraction first.

Thanks. I’m hoping that booking the first flight of the day will work in our favor. We’re spending the night at the airport because our flight leaves at 5.

Assuming the flight is on time and everything goes well, 10:30 is reasonable. That still gives you until 11:30.
Agree not putting your most wanted FP as the first one.

This is our exact timing scenario for our trip. Although, we're staying at BC and walking to Epcot for our first park. For our 8:00 arrival, I'm putting our first FP at 10:15/10:30ish. Haven't quite nailed down which 15 minute time frame I want to aim for!

Thanks, everyone. Since my first park is MK and there are so many FP I can grab same day, I think I'll go ahead and do an early Buzz or something, and make sure the harder-to-get ones are later. Since it's arrival day, I'm pretty sure 7DMT won't be available until late afternoon or evening, if available at all.

Remember you have the 15 minute grace period. So if you have a 10:15-11:15 FP window, you'll probably be able to get on until 11:30.

As long as you pick a lesser FP as your first, I think you'll also have good odds of being able to modify it if you flight is delayed.

These days, there's also a chance of the ride going down during your FP window. If that happens you'll automatically be sent an anytime FP.

Also, when my family travels at odd hours, we often get hungry at odd hours. Sometimes early morning travel = it is difficult to get breakfast. You might want to factor that in to your plans.
