So I'm getting more and more excited each day to go to Disney World in June. I keep imagining driving through the huge Welcome to Walt Disney World sign and then going to my hotel to check-in (this year its the Caribbean Beach for my family) and knowing I'm home.

What is that makes you know you're at "home" when you get to Disney?

I am also going to Disney World in June! I am just so excited, I can't even contain myself!
I know I am home, when we drive through the Welcome To Disney World, sign, and when I step into the Port Orleans Riverside. I have never been so happy in my life!

(we should make this a going in June thread, so we can talk about our trips, and our excitement becuase I need a place to go to!) ;)

what makes me feel "at home" is the florida smell, the ME video, and when i walk through the doors at beach club and smell pumped in perfume. the feeling of the crisp lobby after coming from the humid florida air. the disney cartoons playing in the kid station while my mom checks us in. all the mickey mercandise and kids with mouse ears on. takeing the elevator up to the club level and smelling the food, and being elcomed by the nice castmembers. and finally dropping our luggage off in the room and falling on the bed quoteing the show i love lucy "i'm hoooooooome!"

I know I'm at home once I go on Splash Mountain, the best ride ever!
:thumbsup2

I also love the general feeling of joy that Disney parks exude. :goodvibes

I know I'm home when we dive under the Disney World sign, then pull into our resort. I know I'm home when I see little kids with their Mickey Ears & Balloons. I know I'm home when I first go to Magic Kingdom and see the castle :upsidedow

just because im from england,

when you step out of the airport it MENTAL because its hotter outside than inside.. then getting on the magical express and driving under the WDW sign (: then last time we went, we got off the bus and it was POURING WITH RAIN BUT IT WAS SO HOT! i was so confused xD then we normally stay in our room for ages... and then go eat dinner at like 6pm xD and then im normally half asleep by the time mains come :D because im just so knackered after 8 hours in the air with no sleep... and then we got to bed at like 9 xD and then we wake up at like 5 in the morning, and unpack, then we GREASE UP BABY! and go to magic kingdom :D

thats just how it goes. xD

Copying what some other people have said, but...
-The ME line to wait for the busses
-The ME video
-Walking into the Boardwalk lobby and seeing the chandelier and smelling the Boardwalk smell
-Playing the elevator game with my parents (we each stand in front of one of the elevator doors, and whoever's standing in front of the one that comes wins)
-The smell of as my mother calls it, "rotting vegetation."
-The music coming from the Boardwalk

signs that im actually home are

-retarded weather xD
-the beautiful beach outside the Yacht Club
-looking at Stormaway Bay at night from behind the bushes on the rocking chairs late at night
-2 words. the lighthouse.
-walking round the Boardwalk
-walking/getting the boat to Epcot
-getting the boat to DHS
-eating at the Yachtsman Galley on our first evening.
-Cinderella Castle.
-th refreshing air conditioning when you walk into a building.
-the smell of suncream and the Yacht Club
-sitting behind the Captains table on the first floor :D
-walking inside in the pouring rain in nothing but a bikini and flip flops because of storms. and its fudging freezing.
-THE CUPID SHUFFLE! xD

Here is a list of the I know I am home when

So many things tell me that I'm home when i get to Disney. The first thing is walking out of the Airport and smelling the air because it just smells like disney. then getting on the Magical Express and seeing that everyone else is as happy to be there as I am. Getting off the bus at OKW and checking in when the cast members say "welcome home" And finally walking down Main Street.
