We closed March 1. Disney can't find our paperwork from the closing company. Disney is now working with the closing company to get it processed.

Arrgggh!

Has this ever happened to anyone?
Need some pixie dust, pronto!

Thanks!

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully everything gets cleared up quickly!

BTW, who's your closing company? Just curious because we recently ran into a little hiccup with ours.

Our broker is using an attorney's office. The process has been amazingly fast to this point: Contract agreed in a day, sent to ROFR in 2 days, closed in 3 days. Now this!

I would be getting anxious about that too! It will work out ok. Sorry for the extra time that is taking.

Do you have a March 31st banking deadline you need to meet?

No, worse. We are waiting to book a trip for mid-May and we are also fighting to beat the airline increases due to the fuel costs going up. The good news is that someone from Member Services is involved now.

I don't mean to be a "debbie downer" or anything, but if your identifying information was clearly noted on those documents (SSN, etc), you might want to ask for some "Identity Protection" insurance (like Lifelock or something) for a period of time. It's probably an overreaction, but you just never know. Good luck! I hope things start going smoother.

Disney acted very quickly and we were in the system by 3PM. Per Member Administration, we now have to wait a minimum of 24 hrs until our points hit. I thought it would be quicker than that?

Our broker said "at least the documents were not lost in the mail," but she doesn't know what happened.

Disney is getting hammered right now with everybody trying to get in by March 20th. I am sure the paperwork is sitting on somebodies desk at Disney. The real question is whose??? I hope it does not happen again. It is poor form for Disney to lose paperwork... From what other people have said it is a two day process. One day for them to get it into the system and another to get the points loaded. Unfortunately, they have been known to load the wrong number of points, so i hope they get that part correct... Good luck.

Unfortunately it took 3 days after my account was set up for my points to get put in my account. I was calling twice a day until they finally showed up so I could make my reservation. However, I have heard that it is often faster than that so good luck!:goodvibes

Luck came thru. Our points hit yesterday so it took about 24 hours for our points to hit once we were in the system.

When we bought resale last year (not crazy time) it was a quick process but they loaded the incorrect number of points and it was obvious. I called Member accounting or whoever they put me through to and all they could say is "you have to call your resale broker maybe they made a mistake and are you sure you bought a 160 point contract?" After calling TSS it was fixed later that day. As I said the way the points were listed in the contract it was obvious there was a type-o.
