Arranging a split stay

I know it should be simple and I'm over thinking, but I'm needing to change our reservation from oct 17-24 to a one night, room only on 17th, then package from 18-24th (so we get free dining). And I'm stressing out about it!! Will I need to put a new deposit down for the one night? Or Should I re-do and put the 18-24 deposit under my moms disney visa? Any tips on when I call in to do this? Lol... Oh, I won't lose the ADR's I already have, will I???

Just modify your package that you currently have to a check in on the 18th. You'll need to Dow new deposit of 200 with the Disney Visa, but your old one will just stay. It won't get refunded unless you ask it to. If you put the initial deposit on the DV you don't need another way. You'll just verify the card number.

Then just book a room only reservation for the 17th and ask them to make a note that its a continuing reservation and you'd like to stay in the same room if you're booking the same resort and room type. You'll have to pay that in full since its a 1 nights room stay deposit and it is just the one night. It's a separate reservation so it's a separate deposit.

Your ADRs won't change.

If you currently have a package booked, the easiest thing to do is cancel the night of the 17th from the package and make a room only reservation for that night. Other than the total cost of your package going down by that 1 night, nothing else will change. You will then have to make a deposit on the room only, which will actually be paid in full since it's only 1 night and the required deposit for room only is 1 night's room rate + tax. If your mom has a Disney Visa and you want to use that to get FD when/if it gets released, I think you can just make another $200 deposit with the Disney visa when you have your reservation modified to reflect FD instead of cancelling and rebooking. Also, your ADRs will not be effected .
