Well, folks...I'M BACK!!! We have just returned from a marvelous 8 days spent at Port Orleans French Quarter! So, let's get this show on the road!!! Well, first off, a word of caution. You are most definitely going to need to fasten your seat belts and hold on tight, There will be many bumpy roads and surprises. And you just might lose your lunch. But, bare with me here, Because, come on....what's a ride without some thrills?

So, for those of you who do not know us. I'll start off with some introductions.

DDad (Brad)- Well, this is my dad. Most of you know him as TripTime but to us he is husband, son, and of course DAD! He is the other Disney fanatic in the family. No trip would be complete without him. He is a chemical plant shift worker operator. Phew! There's a mouthful! He loves sports, but mostly baseball. He is very involved with my brother's team, whether it's playing indoor baseball (Mom loves this:rotfl2:) or helping pitch out at practice. Here he is.....the man behind our magic.

DMom (Kristi)- Here we go. Our planner, our organizer, our "has to put up with 2 Disney freaks in the house"-er. My mother is the woman that makes our world go round. She may not have all of the enthusiasm about Disney that my dad and I have, but you could never tell by how much effort she puts into our planning. She is a part-time labor and delivery nurse. Yep, that's right folks. She helps deliver babies!!! This is her....our wonderful mom!!!
MomCloseUpEdit.jpg

DGrandma (Sandy aka Gammaw)- She is a new arrival on this trip. She has only vacationed to Disney with us once before when I was a toddler. She is very funny and good-natured. Also, she is a nurse; a diabetic one to be exact. The famous Gammaw.....

DGrandpa (Boyd aka Pawpaw)- He is our other newbie. It was so much fun teaching him and my grandma the ins and outs. Oh, and, of course, giving them the Beverly at Club Cool (pictures to come:lmao:)! He is also good natured and easy going. He is a go with the flow kind of guy, which makes it so much easier on the whole family! As a retired Shell chemical operator (occupations must run in the family:rolleyes1.....what is to come for me???!!!), he was rearing to go with us. We all love him........PAWPAW!!!

DBrother (Blake, age 10)- Blake. Hmmmm. What to say, what to say.... Well, he is my little brother, and no matter what he says...always will be. Mwahahahahaaaa! He is the athlete of our family! He has tried it all. From baseball to soccer to football to track! He excels in every sport he tries. His favorite is baseball and he is currently on a Select team. Oh, and there won't be many pictures of him because he hates them. The ones you DO see are him with mad-faces. Oh well! Brothers will be brothers....! Our little all-star...

And last but HOPEFULLY not least....ME! I'm Abbi! Age 12. Probably one of the youngest DISers...but hopefully you will still read my TR...even though it IS written by a minor! :guilty: Well, I am the drama queen of the family...as sad as it is. I am not...under ANY circumstances...athletic. I got the more artsy genes of this family. I love sketching, painting, acting, and techie stuff. Yup...I'm a nerd!...And PROUD OF IT!!!:cool2: Well, just so you will recognize me in my many forms...I will post MANY pictures of me...

Abbie, you are a very bright young lady. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Your writing skills are terrific for a 12 year old. Well done.

Love the introduction. I look forward to future posts!
Thank you sooooo much!!! I just hope that I can update as often as I have promised myself!;)

Great start Abbie. Let me know if you need my insight along the way.
Thanks Dad!!! I hope that you stay up to date! Oh...and if I forget something important let me know. Or just contribute yourself. I've introduced you;)

WOO HOO!!! Under-age writers of the world unite!!!:rotfl: I'm so excited that I have gotten so many reviews. Yeah...I know. It's sad. I consider 4 as a lot.:rotfl2: But, whatever. Thanks so much for joining us. It's gonna be a blast!!!......atleast I hope so...

We all woke up at 6:45 on Thursday morning and finished all of our last minute packing. Then we all loaded up and started the long trip to.....SCHOOL! Ha ha...got you there, huh? Nope. We couldn't leave yet. First, Blake and I had to endure 7 dreadful long hours of LEARNING:sick: before actually heading to Florida. BUT, when the time finally did come......we were ready for it.

Well, we got into Louisiana pretty quickly and drove there until about 8:30. Then we stayed at a Hampton Inn. It had free wi-fi which was great! Then, in the morning, we had a great continental breakfast and hit the road again.....
We arrived at our home away from home at about 8:30, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong, Dad. :) We all leapt for joy and did a mental happy dance...at least I did...

Well, we went ahead and checked in to our magnificent resort...PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER...at last! Woo Hoo!!! My grandma and I looked around in the gift shop while the rest of the family signed in and Blake watched old Mickey cartoons. :) Then, we went to go get some grub. My mother and I split some sort of pasta....very good. And then we all got bengets!!!Yummy, yummy, yummy! I'm pretty sure that we got more powder on our clothes then we got in our mouths. After we stuffed ourselves, we headed back to the car and unloaded all of our clothes and luggage and carried it to the room. We could not have had a better room. The only con was that we were on the third floor, but at least we would be able to work off all of our dinner calories every night. :) We had the 2 closest rooms to the corner.....RIGHT NEXT TO THE BUSES AND THE FOOD COURT!!! Woo hoo! Not to mention that the rooms were very nice. No less then we expected.

After exploring a bit, we decided to call it a night and hit the sack. We would need all of our beauty sleep for our first full Disney day.

Up next: First Taste of Magic

The next morning we woke up bright and bushy-tailed......well, at least I did. We went down to the food court which I have momentarily forgotten the name of....and all got a good breakfast. Except me. Lemme go ahead and explain. I do NOT like breakfast. I don't know why. I just don't like it. BUT, from what I remembered from LAST Spring Break was that their muffins were REALLY good. So, I went ahead and got one. Bad decision on my behalf. It wasn't soft and chewy like the muffins I remembered. So my infamous muffin got passed around to a more willing taker. I don't remember exactly who, but if I HAD to guess......probably Blake. That boy is a bottomless pit. Well, we all (excluding mua) sucked in our tummies and high tailed it to the bus. It wasn't very long before we saw a bus with the words MAGIC KINGDOM scrolling along the top. Thus, the magic begins.

First, we went over to Tomorrowland before the crouds got there. We WALKED on to Space Mountain!!! Blake was a little sad because we moved too fast to be able to play the games in the line...

Mom and Blake went again, but I wanted to look around the shop a bit. After they got off, we took a bathroom stop. Then, we headed over to the Laugh Floor where I sent in a joke. That didn't get picked.:( Oh well. My grandparents laughed anyway! "What do you call a dog with no legs? Don't matter what you call him; he won't come!" Yeah, I know. Corny. Cheesy. Classic. Whatever...... I was STILL sad that it didn't make considering we were basically the only people in there. At the beginning, when the screen shows people on the screen and will show a caption on it...I got up there with the caption of Sitting Between 2 Monsters. :) Haha. I was sitting betwen Pawpaw and Dad. Then, my Dad was "That Guy." Which, in case you didn't know, was the guy that got picked on the whole time. Like ".....well, I know that all of y'all are good-looking humans anyway...unless you're THAT GUY!!!" Jokes like this continued throughout the show, showing my Dad on the screen every time. Oh, and my mom got her mind read!!! My favorites are Ella and Sam. "Hello, my name is Ella, and this is my brother Sam. And together we make Samonella." :)!!! Gotta love it!!! Anyways, after getting a pretty good laugh, we headed over to BLSRS to capture Emperor Zurg. It looks like he captured me instead! :(
IMG_4222.jpg

Then, we went over to get Fast passes for Peter Pan, but ended up getting them for that AND a surprise pass for Mickey's Philharmagic! Woohoo! Well, before our Philharmagic passes were ready, we had time to burn, so we went over to Small World.
IMG_4227.jpg

I was conscious of the dolls coming to life though the whole ride. Kingdom Keepers does that to you.:) After that, we headed over to Philharmagic. And walked right in.
IMG_4228.jpg

IMG_4229.jpg

Then, we went over to Peter Pan, and only had to wait about 10 minutes in the Fastpass line.
IMG_4234.jpg

IMG_4233.jpg

IMG_4230.jpg

After that, we thought about doing the teacups but Blake and I were the only ones who wanted to do it and the line was pretty long. So, off to the Hall of Presidents we went.
IMG_4237-abbiedit.jpg

Haunted Mansion was next on our list. We were kind of disappointed though, that there were no hitchhiking ghosts due to construction. I always take this classic picture. I was supposedly his 2nd wife.
IMG_4235.jpg

Frontierland was now calling for us, so off we went. First, we got Big Thunder Fastpasses and went over to Pecos Bill's to get some western grub. I had a wonderful taco salad, as did everyone else, except Blake and my grandpa. I don't remember what they got, though. Then we went to Big thunder. I don't think my grandpa really like it though. This is a picture my mom took ON the ride.
IMG_4243.jpg

So, we thought that we needed a little adventure after our relaxing train ride(haha), and what better place then Adventureland? We headed straight to Pirates of the Carribbean and waited in a fairly short line for our adventure with Captain Jack.
IMG_4240-abbiedit.jpg

IMG_4250.jpg

Then, my grandma decided to check out the famous Dole Whip. I didn't really care for it, but everyone else said it was simply splendid.
IMG_4253-abbiedit.jpg

After that, we started to head out, stopping a few times on Mainstreet U.S.A. We loaded up on the monorail, my least favorite way of transportation, and headed over to the Polynesian to catch our dinner at the Ohana.
IMG_4254.jpg

IMG_4268.jpg

This was our third time there, so the entertainment wasn' quite as good to us, but we had a good laugh. I think that Blake and I are a bit too old though. "Okayyyyyyyyy everybodyyyyy! Noooooowwwww it's time to bring all of your faaaaaaaamilyyyyy to come and do the hu-hu-hu-hulaaaaa. Readyyyy? Here we gooo! Hukilau, hukilau, huki, huki, hukilau." Yeah. She's a bit creepy. Well, after that we went back to the hotel and turned in for the night. We had many adventures to come (which I will hopefully update sooner than this)!

to be continued...

:lmao: Yeah! Just like a caffeinated squirrel. That explains me PERFECTLY!!! Just kidding.....sort of.:rotfl: Oh, and thanks. I was having a brain fart there for a minute.

Boohoohoohoohoohoo!!! I'm a terrible person. I haven't updated in over a month!!!! A MONTH! Please forgive me.......I'm so sorry...but we've been sorta busy lately, so I haven't found time to update.
On the other hand...I'm here now!!!!! (cue the applause)
Sooo...on with the story...errr report. After getting a good night sleep in dream land, we got up bright and early to go to the REAL dream land. We switched around our itinerary a bit and decided to head over to Hollywood Studios. We got there pretty quickly and hustled through the gates. As you know by now, I'm a huge wimp and I didn't feel like riding Rock N' Roller Coaster, so as everyone else ran to RNRC, my grandpa and I headed over to get FP for Toy Story Mania. I led the way down Sunset Boulevard (is that how you spell it?) and over to the Animation section as we swam upstream against everyone else COMING from TSM and HEADING to RNRC. We finally reached our destination and got 6 FPs. Then, we took our time heading back to RNRC and waited for the crew to get off of it. They had a great time and their picture was priceless so we bought it. Can't seem to find it now to show y'all, but I did find this one.
