My child will be 3 in July and we are headed to DL next week. For those of you who have eaten at Ariel's Grotto - does your 2 1/2 year old share with you or have you ordered them their own meal? It will just be the two of us at the meal.
Thanks!
Megan

Good question. I would love to know too since DD will be 2 in a few weeks and I plan on taking her next time we go (the day before her b-day).

I'm thinking she'll just share with me since she'll only be 2. Not sure how much more 3 year olds eat than 2 year old ;)

I don't think you have to pay if she is under 3, and I wouldn't, because they give you so much food that you should have enough to share.

I'm not sure what the age cutoff is, but when we went last year they made us by a meal for our 3 yr. old DD. I knew she wouldn't eat the food but they said it was a requirement b/c its a "character dining" or something. So yeah, the whole sand bucket of food was wasted, but she did meet all the Princesses. :)

It must vary because I bought one meal for my 3 and 6 year old to share and they didn't care one bit!!

It's free! We went with our 2 year old twins and they got "infant portions" which looked like the child's portion to us. You can order anything off the kids menu, but tell the waiter your DD is 2 so you are not charged. We asked our waiter because there's nothing on the menu explaining the under 3 policy, and well, we're cheap. Free food at Disney.......

I just had to laugh at this and post to say that my 3 year old eats much LESS than he did at 2! He used to be such a good eater, but now he's one of those picky kids who seems to survive on air and pediasure alone. I almost never order him food at a restaurant anymore because he rarely takes more than a few bites.

I had heard that some people were able to get meals for their younger children an smaller portion for those under 3 - so great news about the free food! With a birthday in July, those free days will soon be going by the wayside :)

Thanks for your responses. I will be sure to post my experience when we get back next week.
