Ariel's Grotto-breakfast or lunch?

We are headed to DL and CA for the first time in August, staying at the Disneyland Hotel. 3 day park hoppers for Wed, Thurs, Fri. On Wed we will have early entry into CA and I'd like to do either a late breakfast or early lunch at Ariel's Grotto.

I'm leaning towards a late breakfast (10-10:30ish) because we will have been in the parks for 3 hours already at that point and I figure we will need the break. That way we could stay after our meal for another hour or two before heading back to the hotel to swim and rest. If we wait to have lunch I feel like everyone might already be exhausted and grumpy. On the other hand, I know the more we get done (rides wise) before noon the better in terms of minimizing waits.

Thoughts? Kids are 10, 8, and 4. The other thought is to just do the meal with the 4 year old and have either DH or myself take other kids on rides little one can't go on.

Have you taken a look at the menu options for breakfast and lunch? That might help you decide. I believe breakfast is a lower price than lunch.

If you decide to have lunch, you could take the 4 year old to see Disney Jr. Live in the morning for a little down time. Or turtle talk with Crush. Both are indoors and air conditioned.
