Argh! Broken WII?

So an "after school girl" I look after every day, who normally *asks* me to put a Wii game in for her, tried doing it herself while I was in another room.

Result? TWO game discs stuck in the Wii!

She forced the second disc in. My 11 year old said she told the girl there was a game in there already and to push the eject button first. Looks like she forced the 2nd disc in and then pushed the eject button as both discs are partially sticking out.

The discs refuse to budge.

Anyone have this happen? What to do?

Try pushing one in while pulling the other out. I feel for you. My daughter did that and she put nickels into it on top of it.:confused3

If you can't get them out yourself, try calling Nintendo. I found their customer service to be great. They fixed our Wii for free due to an issue with the Smash Brothers game. If we would have had to have them fix it, it was going to to be something like $60 to get it fixed, including shipping both ways. Nintendo also warrants the Wii for a year after it is fixed.

I have 3 discs stucks in mine at the moment thanks to a 2 yr old..... I didn't think he could reach it... I under estimated his climbing skills. My fault.. and I can't get them out either.

If you can't push one in and pull one out, I would call Nintendo and ask for advice. If you take it apart or anything, it might void whatever warranty you have on the Wii. Good luck!:)

if you do try and take it apart just be warned it takes special screws so you'll have to buy a screwdriver at a place like game stop or ebay. Maybe amazon I am not sure... we looked into it when one of the kids put pennies in it when we first got it... but I shook it and they came out after awhile.. our wii has survied many of disasters here lol

Been there done that. We did get them out, but then it wouldn't read a disc so we had to send it in. I don't remember the actual details but it ended up being <$100 and they just replaced the entire wii.

Nickels? Pennies? :rotfl2: The things kids do!

Turns out my BIL has the screwdriver needed to open the Wii (he had issues with his kids as well), so my husband will bring it over to him this morning.

Crossing my fingers it will work! I have 3 kids coming over this afternoon, in addition to my own 2, and was counting on Mario Party 8 to keep them occupied a bit! At least the DVD player is working so they can still watch a movie & eat chocolate chip cookies I'm going to bake this morning.

I was not impressed when I remembered I could not weigh myself this morning.

It works! All fixed! Actually, my husband said his brother never opened unscrewed the console. He just yanked the games out. Kids are playing it now. :goodvibes
