Area request for SSR

I have an upcoming SSR split stay. How do I make a request for a particular area of the resort (we would like to be in the Springs section if possible)? I did not see a place for requests while making the reservation, nor did I see a place when I went back and reviewed the reservation. Any help is appreciated.

I believe when you do the online check in there's a place to request.

You can send a message to, chat with, or call MS to have a request placed on the reservation.

We always make our requests via the contact form on the member website. They will email you back when the request has been added o your reservation.

Requests other than what is offered with on-line check-in should be made by contacting Member Services. If you are a renter rather than the owner, you should contact the owner or the service through which you are renting and ask if a request can be put in for you

Mind if I join the conversation with another request/check-in question for SSR?

We've traded into SSR through RCI and traveling with my parents but will be checking in two days later. Over the phone, they noted that we are traveling together in order to try to have our rooms close together. I think I read that any requests made during online check-in will override requests made over the phone. Is that true? If so, am I better off skipping the online check-in all together? I'd love to be able to make other requests, but don't want to decrease our chances of having rooms that are closer in proximity.

I'd love any suggestions you may have!
