Area at the exit of Mission Space

Is this area worth spending much time in?

We tried 3 things, 2 were not working properly and the other too difficult for kids to understand directions.

So we moved on to Test Track.

My brothers and I very much enjoyed the "Space Race" game and played it several times (ages ranged from 15-23). That being said, we did this during the testing phases of the attraction prior to its actual opening, so it was fairly empty.

I think the goal of this area was to attract a teenage crowd - the games are somewhat difficult to comprehend. If you've got teenagers, they might enjoy it, but for the younger ones, it's definitely something to skip.

Ds (9) enjoyed the space race game, but I don't think younger children would be able to figure it out. We also sent home a post card to friends. That was fun.

There's a "playground" type area there with tubes and things that the younger children seemed to enjoy. Also other computer game stuff.

Can you gain access w/o going on ride, in case you want to come back and do it at another time?

We spent an hour or so there in May and had a blast playing the Space Race game. My DD (14) also loved some of the other video games there. It's worth checking out for yourself.

You can gain access without going on the ride. Just enter through the gift shop. That's what I was doing there....waiting for dh and ds to get off the ride. It was the only ride I wouldn't tackle!

I am with corinascot! This is the one that I decided to skip the ride too. Just because I get worried in close spaces and the kids rode and said it was very close quarters. The mission space race was nice to watch/ play while the others were riding the ride.

I did conquer the TOT this time though and now wish I would have tried it before!
