**********Just kidding **********

I took my doggies out for a walk this evening,
(PS the weather is amazing here in Orlando this evening)
and noticed that one of my neighbors has their Christmas Tree in the window already.
:scared1:

Already?
So how about you? Any tree's up at your place?
Are you putting the lights on the house before the weather gets any colder?
Are you sneaking the Christmas boxes out of the attic?

I just got the fall wreath on the door. Didn't decorate for Halloween. That's a first, but life has been crazy and I haven't had time or energy for that. I do hope to put out a few more fall things between now and Thanksgiving.

Nope - Halloween decorations are up. Christmas decorations will go up Thanksgiving weekend (at least that's the plan).

Wow, a Christmas tree up before Halloween?? Yea, that's a little much. But I will admit I'm on the verge of being totally submersed in the Christmas spirit soon......HBO was playing A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas tonight. :happytv:

We have our Halloween decor out now, and I'll pack that up by next weekend. Then Christmas decor comes out Black Friday weekend, (and stays out through 1st week in January).

Nope, the front yard is filled with all the Halloween blow-ups and decorations.

Then the turkey blow-up goes up.

Then Christmas. :)

Now, I have already bought two rolls of wrapping paper from Costco and started shopping for gifts already :)

I always wondered with people who had trees up early if someone was leaving (possibly military or ????) and they were celebrating early before they leave.

No, I have not even thought about Christmas.

We usually put up our tree the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving.

We put our Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving. We are going home for Thanksgiving this year, so I haven't decided if we'll decorate before we leave or once we get back. We fly back late on Sunday and we both have school early the next morning, so maybe I'll get everything ready to be put up before we leave and then we'll actually put it up when we're back on Dec 1.

Is it just me or does it seem that this year stores are advertising earlier than ever for Christmas? I mean Halloween hasn't passed yet and I'm seeing Christmas goods in stores already.

Nope. I am very excited for Christmas this year but the tree won't go up til the first weekend in December. I have purchased a few gifts already and that is a first for me.

I went to a patients house and she has had hers up since the beginning of September, its crazy

My tree and decorations went up Monday evening (even have presents wrapped and under the tree). This is the earliest I have ever done this --- usually it is the day after Thanksgiving. But I have to work a lot of overtime this next month, plus the holiday and we are leaving December 1st for a week long Disney vacation ---- busy next few weeks--- so I had time this last week so up it went. There is no telling when I will have time again during November and I really wanted it all up and decorated when we returned home from the vacation. My husband was surprised but he understood. The only things that aren't up yet are the outside lights.

I love, love, love fall! and all my fall decorations. No way am I taking it all down early to put up the Christmas tree. (I do love Christmas too ;))

The tree typically goes up the Saturday after Thanksgiving because it's a quiet weekend. We have occasionally put up the outside lights and decorations earlier if a warm day arrives in November because going out in subzero weather sucks the joy out of decorating for Christmas (IMO). :goodvibes

It's possible we'll celebrate Christmas during Thanksgiving week this year (with my parents and sibs, in-laws and nieces/nephews) because my sister from Destin will be up for a visit and we rarely get to celebrate Christmas with her family. We haven't really discussed it yet though.

I used to Christmas shop super early (like July) and "spread out the pain," but I haven't bought a thing or even thought about it much yet this year. I'll probably do the bulk of my Christmas shopping after Dec. 14th because I'll be finished with my first semester of nursing school then. :faint::faint:

I usually put my outside lights up the week before Thanksgiving so I can turn them on for the first time Thanksgiving night but I love real Christmas trees so I usually wait a week into December before putting up my tree so it doesn't dry out.

As much as I love Christmas and Christmas decorations after a month I can't wait to pack up the decorations and lights and de-clutter the house. I can't imagine having them up for months.

Come on folks, it's already October 25th, whatcha waiting for? :confused3

Oh, you are so funny! :lmao: :)

My granddaughter is already playing Christmas music...I told her it's way too early for that! :)

I generally decorate the house for Thanksgiving the following weekend, but since Thanksgiving is the LAST Thursday of the month this year I've decided to do my Christmas decorating the week BEFORE. :) I hate it when Thanksgiving is late, and I don't decorate until after, as then I feel like I've been "cheated out of a week" of having them up. So why not do it before? :thumbsup2

Too early for me. But I was in Neiman Marcus two weeks ago and they has stuff up already.

Not till Thanksgiving weekend. And I am not going all crazy this year. We are going to be away during the Christmas holidays so why bother??

Nothing up here yet! I haven't even gotten toHalloween yet. Somehow, it snuck up on me! Rotfl

Outside lights will go up on a warm day in early November. I hate standing on ladder in snow and ice and/or having numb frozen fingers trying to manipulate all the lights! However, I do tend to go a bit overboard outside, LOL! They will not be lit until Thanksgiving, other than while I test.

Tree and inside decorations? What else is there to do Black Friday and following weekend?
