Are you watching wait times?

With all this talk about lower capacity and high wait times, I have been checking out the MDE wait times a few times a day for the last several days. I did notice really high waits on Dumbo and the usual high wait time rides. However, the last few days, especially today, the wait times have not seemed that bad - pretty great actually. I did notice that some of the headliners were down at different times today. In fact, I think it was this morning that RnR, Test Track, and one other I've forgotten-maybe EE- were down at park opening. I'm wondering if they fixed the capacity issue or if it just happened to be a great week crowd wise.

Anybody else paying attention or at DW?

Some of the CM blogs I follow on tumblr are reporting lower crowds than expected so far this week, possibly because of storms. Things are still running at a lower efficiency but the lines aren't as long as expected. There are reports of massively inflated wait times, though. Like RnR had a posted wait time of 45 minutes but the people who posted the update walked through the line and walked right on. Splash had a posted wait of 40 minutes and they walked through the line and got right on too.

Ah, the weather thing makes sense. It's disappointing to hear that capacity is still an issue. I guess I'll keep checking out wait times and listening for news about whether they change capacity or not. I really would consider cancelling my trip this fall if all I'm going to be doing is wandering around in crowds or standing in lines.

Any ideas as to why they would inflate wait times so much though? Maybe so if a bunch of FP people come through the line, increasing wait times, people in standby don't complain? And if they get through faster, everyone wins.

We walked on to a bunch of rides today, probably because it poured all day. Complete rain out here. I was surprised to see dumbo at 20 minute wait until I realized one of the sides was down and had walls around it.

Yes last night had lightening at around 5 and it must have lingered in the area so several rides were shut down for longer than an hour. Today was intermittent downpours which got old fast. We did see inflated wait times this am and yesterday saw Test Track vary widely (DD7 yesterday saw the posting outside drop from 70 to 40 mins - huh?). That said, in general this week has been pretty nice so far with regard to wait times. The parks feel busy (lots of people on the walkways) but wait times are pretty good. On Sun am, they were loading BTHR on both sides from the get go when it was still a walk on ride so maybe they're backing off the steep staffing cuts.

Walked on everything in Epcot today. Like literally asked if we could just ride again, and no one minded at all. There was no one in The que. Yesterday at MK in the evening was the same way.

We got there at 6:30
And we did use 3 fastpasses, but the rest was stand by
We rode
In this order
Tea cups
Winnie the Pooh
Saw Cinderella/rapunzel-fp
Carousel
Ate quick service
Peter Pan -fp
It's a small world
Seven dwarf -fp

We're here now. Yep, rain all day. Today was our "visit resorts" day with lunch at Sanaa and beignets at POFQ and a trip to Disney Springs.
In MK yesterday Big Thunder was posted 30 minute wait time and we were on in 12, Pirates wait time posted 25 minutes and we were on in 7. Journey of the Little Mermaid was posted 10 minutes and it was walk on. HM posted 35 minutes and it was about 10. Buzz was posted 25 and we were on in 15. I'm really trying to pay attention to wait times and how long to get on this trip.

PS: did NOT get wet on Pirates in second row! The other times we rode were in 3 and 4. None of the boats we saw or rode in were wet.

We didn't get wet on it Sun but our boat was definitely wet on the inside. We were last 2 rows and there was water on the floor (it didn't rain Sun).

Yes MK was very light crowds today due to weather I am sure. We went for a little while this am and again this evening and many rides had 5-10 min waits. Saw Peter Pan posted as low as 15 min and 7 Dwarves at 30 min. Parade was delayed but got a good spot in the hub area a few minutes before it started and saw CTM/wishes as well. Rain sucked today but the low crowds were awesome!

Sadly wait times were much higher today-at park opening barn stormer, space mountain, and 7DMT were all temporarily closed. We had a fast pass for 7DMT during the closure so when it began running and we used it the fast pass line was halfway down toward the fantasy land wall (where fairy godmother meets). Saw wait time listed as 190 min. Also saw 30 min consistently for Barn stormer and 85 minutes to ride dumbo

Ouch. Also a beautiful day which probably didn't help wait times.

I was watching the wait times this morning. What is with all the headliners being down at opening? It's not just at MK. That would be so annoying. I guess the crowds are still coming, and if Dumbo is any indication (unless they are working on a side), they are still lowering capacity. I'll keep watching....

For those of you there, I hope you have a good time, despite some high waits!

I had BOG PPO today. They put us in 7D queue and then said they had technical difficulty and we could stay in line or enjoy another attraction. Once they cancelled our 930a FP+ we bailed. Messed up wait times for just about everything else.
