A post From today............

>>>Just got back and used ME for our June trip and loved it.

It went just like they said it would. We got to MCO at 11pm and were so tired we asked them to claim our bags for us and just deliver them in the morning. We had packed one of our carryons with the items we would need for one night anyway (just incase luggage was lost or an unforseen layover). I called Luggage services the next morning at 7am and they had the bags to our room in 20 minutes (stayed at Pop).

For our return trip, the papers were on the door the day before we left. They told us when to be at the bus stop, about three hours before our flight left. Dear husband did not think we would need the three hours and so he called to find out how often the buses leave. It is about every 20-30 minutes. So he said we could wait for a later one. Well, after I threw a fit, we finally headed for the stop about 5 minutes before we were told to be there. After getting the luggage from the bell hop (at CBR) the bus we were told to be ready for had left. No problem says dear husband. About 20 minutes later, the next bus comes and we load up for that one. Get to MCO and then wait in line for security (DH wishes we had that extra 20 minutes now) Got the bags checked, then walked forever to the other side of the world to go thru the next round of security. Made it to the gate with 15 minutes to spare. Just too close for my taste.

But....if we had done it like they told us to, there would not have been a problem, but then I could not have told my husband, " I told you so "<<<<

The point is.. Be ready 10 min prior to your scheduled departure time. The pick up time given you IS the bus DEPARTURE time.

Don't change your time on your own!! Doing so may create an overload situation. People scheduled for the time the bus is there for will be given priority.

Overloads are not pretty. Unfortunately, they mostly are caused by guests not taking the bus at the pick up time they were assigned.

There are many thousands using this service everyday.
You cannot just decide to go earlier or later.

All parties, Disney, Mears, And the guests riding need to do their part if it is to work as planned.

If your pick up time says 08:00, be there at 07:50.

TY

Thanks for the info! We leave in 2 weeks and are using ME. I'll be sure to be on time! I would be a nervouse wreck if that happened! :flower:

I've been to Orlando 5 times in the last year (business & pleasure) and have found the security line on the end with AirTran, S/W, Delta has much longer lines. Usually 25-30 minutes to get through, a total zoo. The security at the area on the other end with USAir, Continental is much shorter and quieter. You can't pick which one to go through, it goes by your airline, but keep it in mind when deciding on your departure time.

We got the paperwork and THEN they changed my mother's flight time.

She'll be attempting to go on a different bus, since her flight time is now a full 5 hours later.

Repeat:

Allow ample time to get back from a park if you went there before your Magical Express homebound departure.

Allow time for the bellhop to get your baggage, at some resorts 45 minutes is strongly recommended!

You may request an earlier bus such as 4 hours before your flight, especially for charter flights or international flights, but be sure to get it in writing preferably at least a day in advance.

However, you can pick on the SW/Delta end of the terminal

I have noticed several times VERY long lines to go through the SW side. If you walk just a little father you are on the Delta side of the terminal and the lines have been much shorter. Since once through there you can get on either tram, you can do either set of security gates. So if you are flying SW out of gate 123 for example, go through over at Delta. Once past security just read the tram signs and get on the one to your gate.

I tried to get a woman to move once since she was SCEAMING that she was going to miss her flight. She told me I was an IDIOT! I moved. I waved at her when she got to the gate. (No she didn't miss the flight) She then gave me the MEANEST LOOK! :rotfl2:
