'ARE YOU SADDAM?' PREMIERES TONIGHT
Celebrity Panelists Will Judge Authenticity of Saddam-like Person on Tape
Are you Saddam -- or not?
That's the question a panel of celebrity judges will ask when ABC premieres their newest reality show, "Are You Saddam?", tonight in primetime.
The judges, led by "Are You Hot?" panelist Rachel Hunter, will attempt to determine whether or not the Saddam-like person who appeared on Iraqi TV last night is, in fact, Saddam Hussein or merely one of the Iraqi strongman's many body doubles.
Ms. Hunter and her fellow judges -- also from the "Are You Hot?" series -- will use the trademark laser pointers from that show to point out nuances in the Saddam-like person's moustache, hairline, and jowls.
Speaking to reporters today, Ms. Hunter refused to divulge whether or not she thought the man on the tape was the real Saddam Hussein, saying merely, "Whoever he is, he's not hot."
But fellow panelist Lorenzo Lamas admitted he had his doubts, largely because the "Saddam" on the tape had mentioned having three sons rather than two, and had repeatedly mispronounced the name "Saddam Hussein."
"When President Bush mispronounces 'Saddam,' that's one thing, but when Saddam does it, I'm like, whoa," Mr. Lamas said.
ABC assured viewers in an official statement that having the panelists from "Are You Hot?" also appear on the new "Are you Saddam?" series would not distract the celebrity judges from their original mission.
"We and they recognize that the search for America's sexiest people must continue," ABC said.
