A simple yes or no will do. This is NOT a political thread!!!

My answer is yes. I was before 9/11 and I am today! I have always had a flag outside my home, even as a child. I was taught what it stood for and to be proud of it and to respect it.

Very much so and I even cry every time I hear that cheesy song.

Me too! I just heard it a little while ago and it has been stuck in my head! Remember when the American Idols sang it? I remember sitting there crying and my DH was looking at me like I was nuts!

Absolutely! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I'm sure other places are great, but this is the only place for me.

Proud to be an American, an Army mom, married to a VET and blessed to live in the greatest country in the world!!

I'm lucky to be an American. Very lucky. Proud? Depends on what the country is up to at the moment.

Same here. The Blues had Lee Greenwood come in for their 2001 home opener--a few weeks after Sept. 11--and he sang it during the 1st intermission. Everyone in attendance had been given red, white, and blue glow sticks and as soon as the 1st period ended, all of the lights in the arena went dark; the only light was from the spot on LG and the glow sticks. I was openly crying by the end of the song, as were probably 75% of the people there.

Yes I am a Very Proud American and Proud that my husband defends America!
