Are You planning a trip to Disneyland in December?

Spoke to a CM - official entertainment schedule doesn't come out until 30 days prior. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed what we are seeing isn't the final schedule.

Thank you, that's good to know. Other entertainment is already listed, but I'm crossing all crossables about Fantasmic! :goodvibes

Can't help to have a third crossing fingers! I'll keep mine crossed for an F! showing in the first part of December being added late.

Big Hugs for Miss Linda.. they are adorable placemats..we used them for the cupcake decorating on halloween. Each time they look at them they pick a new favorite character:lovestruc

Everyone is Updated.

We are only going to do a short pop-in for the 19/20th...its DS's 4th B-day. Its really hard to do a b-day that close to Christmas, and we want him to have "his" day....so, off we will go. I'm hoping the place isn't insane as its still a bit before Christmas, but not optimistic.

:woohoo:Yay! We're in!

DH and I are taking our adult children/nieces/nephews for 3 days December 10 - 13th staying at DLH! 12 of us total, and we can't wait!

We are super splurging and staying in a 3 bedroom at DLH...:santa:

I found this thread while trying to see if Fantasmic would be showing, it will be sadness for us if there is not Fantasmic during our stay since who knows when we'll take all of them back for Christmas again.

Let's all cross our fingers and hope for some Christmas / Fantasmic Magic!

I'm going Dec 10-12 and I see NO fantasmic listed. I KNOW we saw it last year that same weekend so not sure what's up. I really want to see the new dragon! :santa:

They have Fantasmic showing on the schedule up until November 29th. The 30th it doesn't show up. :sad2:

I am going to check tomorrow and see if it shows up on the 30th. If not...I fear the worst!

I wouldn't expect it to show up the 30th of November - as Disneyland closes at 8:00 pm on weekdays the week after Thanksgiving. Fantasmic! is only shown when the park is open later.

But the fact it is still not showing up in December yet is a bit of a concern.
Hopefully it is not down a couple of weeks preparing for the busier holiday weeks.

Thank you so much for the hints and suggestions. We are so very excited,my son can't wait to have his Birthday at Disneyland. We are just a bit north of you near Auburn, Ca. I will search for the planning threads, any help is most helpful.

That's wonderful that your son and your family will be able to celebrate his birthday at DLR! Make-a-Wish is such an inspiring program! My family will be there at the same time and my DD will be turning 7. How old will your son be? Is he into Star Wars? There's a great thread for how to get picked to go up on stage during the Jedi Training Academy. There's lots of inexpensive ways to make a birthday special. Get a birthday button at Town Hall, ask the conductor to ride up front or if you could get a ride on the Lilly Belle, make reservations for Pat E. Cake's for a birthday celebration with cake making and games with Mickey and Minnie.

There were several threads going about the planners who do the gift baskets, food surprises (like cookies and milk), and baloons a couple of weeks ago. I'll see if I can find them. If not, don't hesitate to start your own thread and asking about them.

So glad you're joining us here on the DISBoards to help plan your trip. It's a really nice group of people and I think you'll get lots of excellent ideas.

Updated.

I wonder when we need to start a new thread? Anyone have any idea of how many pages?:confused3

You can add us - Dec 9th-12th - staying at Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

Our 1st trip to DL - have been to WDW 7 times, so we are excited to see the differences, also we usually do WDW around Halloween - this will be our 1st Disney Christmas

We are doing Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Universal/Santa Monica from the 5th to the 8th, then moving over to DL for the rest of our week,

Disneymom8589 and I have had many great times in the Disney parks since 1997. But there is something special about celebrating the Christmas season in Disneyland. And last year we had the pleasure of joining our neighbors as their son proposed to our daughter in front of the castle as the "snow" was falling.

We will celebrate our fourth Christmas in Disneyland this year. And as always we will enjoy Goofy's cooking from his kitchen.

Hope to see some DISboard friends there too.

See ya,

Dave
