Are You planning a trip to Disneyland in December?

Thank You for helping me, ukstitch. I didn't know if it was by the number of posts or the number of pages.:goodvibes

Can i just say that sugar cookies are the HaPpPieSt thing for me!!! I ***LoVe*** to make them and decorate them and put them on pretty plates for friends!!! Sugar cookies rocK! That pic set me in the holiday spirit.
I've been thinking..alright.. maybe this year instead of making tons of different kinds of cookies i'm going to make Sugar Cookies and Fudge only!

I Love Fall and Winter!!!!:yay:

I can't help but think about food at the moment - I'm trying to plan my meals but I just cant' decide ;)

At least I know I'm definitely going now - British Airways strikes can't start until 21st December, so I can go back to just being excited now - all the more so now it's "next month" :yay:

Muffin, oh dear muffin, sweet muffin of love.

Pumpkin Muffin, you will be mine this Christmas.

Sugar Cookies, while beautiful, do not hold the allure of a good muffin.

I'm really looking forward to trying one of the Gingerbread Mickeys. Yum buckets! And I think I'll have to try a Pumpkin Muffin to compare it to the ones I made here at home from the DLR recipe.

That snowman cookie looks so good, and oh my gosh white hot chocolate yummy!! I better keep my gym time up this month because next month is going to be yummy at DL :cool1:

You're on the list, nighthawks!
Hope that you have a super great trip:goodvibes

11 of us will be in Disneyland from December 13-19.

Staying in 4 rooms at HOJO's. Should be interesting with ages 2 through 65! Just getting PS's arranged this weekend hopefully and planning on booking the Holiday tour for hopefully the Monday. 5 first-timers should be enjoyable!

Anyone have any great tips for boys around age 9 to do while the girls lunch at Ariel's? I was thinking maybe the Jedi Training Academy? Any other cool meals or any suggestions? He's a boys boy and likes action stuff!

Thanks!

Boys "around age 9"......definitely Jedi Training. :darth:

Follow it up with Star Tours, Buzz & SM (with a FP of course ;))

......then some Corny Dogs from the red truck, or some Mex from Rancho, or some Sausages at the place next to Princess Fantasy Fair.

Padewan Alec & I will be visiting the Matriarch Hound (my 91 y/o mom) on Sat. & Sun Dec. 12th & 13th.

(Please don't tell anyone....especially Padewan Alec's teacher ;).....that we will be at DLR on Monday 12/14.....prior to hopping on a 6pm flight back to Austin.)

:cool1:

sssshhh..it's a secret..you're on the list.:upsidedow

When you are in the Disney parks for Christmas do you prefer the snowman cookie or a muffin?

Definitely the cookie for me. Either sugar or gingerbread. I feel like I can have a muffin any old day, but a Disneyland Christmas Cookie....Special!:lovestruc

Wow, 91 y.o. Mom, that's awesome Hound! :) I won't tell anyone, but I'll be on the lookout for you! :)

we will be at the CCI Dec 18-22nd to celebrate my dds bday and we are bringing her best friend! Can't wait!

:goodvibes the snowman cookies are not true sugar cookies...in fact I think they even call them shortbread cookies, but they are yummy!! kind of a cross between the 2 in my opinion.... either way.... there is a snowman being baked with my name on it!! :lmao: maybe even a few!! :thumbsup2
Oh and I hope they have the Holiday Mocha back again....that's another super yummy drink!! decaf of course, to drink at closing time, while sitting on the bench on mainstreet near the hub, where you can smell the sugary goodness coming from the candy store, listen to the wonderful Christmas music and gaze at the beautiful twinkly castle in it's snowy sparkly winter coat....

I have reservations to be at Disneyland 12/9 - 12/13! 4 days and 4 nights...wow. I can't believe it's less than 5 weeks away! So excited!

EDIT: Staying at the HoJo!

Hey Eeee-va! We'll be there the same time! We get in during the evening of the 8th. December seemed so far away when I first started planning, I can hardly believe myself that it's just five weeks away!

Awesome! We're driving in on the 9th, but since we have APs :woohoo: and are within walking distance :woohoo: we'll go into the parks after we get in around 2-3 PM.

It's going to be so much fun! I'm slowly going through the whole thread now, LOL. :flower3:

Is Ridemax necessary or helpful for an early/mid-December trip? We used it last time in the middle of June and it was overall helpful as far as getting rides in (aside from a bit of misadvice to go on an attraction that wasn't open at night at 11 PM). But it was very bad as far as letting us soak up the atmosphere, since it made the only goal to ride as many rides as possible. I think the success of the trip was viewed too much as riding as many rides with as little wait as we could, which is fair enough, but if that's the goal then going in the complete off-season and not at Christmas might be a better plan!

I've been to Disneyland probably 10 trips (though only 2 were after DCA opened) so I know the basic trends/etc., and of course to get there early. :)
