I've been on the boards for awhile, but only listening to the podcast for six months or so.
My name is Diane, and I'm married and a mother of three. I'm a life long Disney fan, and my first trip to the park (WDW) was as a kid in the late 1970s. I grew up, got married, and moved out west, and now my "home park" is the
Disneyland Resort. We alternate between the two as a family now.
My favorite park is Disneyland, and I honestly thought I'd never say that, being a born and bred WDW girl. I scoffed at the tiny castle, and commercial nature of everything surrounding it. It seemed small, and nothing compared to WDW. And then I went for my first visit, and had a complete change of heart. That park has a special kind of magic that warms my heart every time I'm there. As soon as I enter, I turn toward the fire station and look for that light burning in the window. In the past, it meant that Walt was in the park, and it means the same thing today. Walt IS in the park, and you can feel his spirit, his enthusiasm, and his joy in every nook and cranny of that place.

It makes Disneyland a very special place to be. I can't adequately explain it in words, but you feel it when you're there. It's wonderful.
