Are you loyal to one car brand?

If it doesn't say Toyota or Honda on it, I'm not interested. There's a reason they're consistently at the top of the list (or near it) for reliability and lowest maintenance costs.

I like Toyotas. When we've gone away from that brand, we've had issues* where I thought, "I never had to deal with this with a Toyota."

Not loyal at all. How else would I know there is a better car out there? I feel like it would be too closed minded of me if I didn’t branch out.

This concept can be applied to a whole world of scenarios.

Yes! My first car was a hand me down Honda, when I was able to buy my first car it was also a Honda (Civic, loved it - probably because it was the first I bought on my own), then as I got a better job, I bought an Accord. Then a better job and now I am a loyal 3 time BMW customer. I do try different models, though! :rotfl:

We started out all over but our last few cars have been GM
-Saturn - lived forever!
- Cadillac -Jeep Wrangler
- dodge caravan
- chevy suburban (2of them)
- GMAC Yukon

The first car i purchased while in college was a used1965 Ford LTD. It was the best. Ever since, I have purchased Fords or Mercuries except on one occasion. That was Chevy. I have always been happy with the Ford. Currently, I am in my 2010 Ford Escape.

I’ve owned all GM cars. I get a family discount. Honestly, if I bought anything else, i would not hear the end of it from the family member. We currently own 4, including my kids’ cars.

Between my wife and I we have owned. We're both 65 and have been driving 49 years. And for the last 36 years we had two drivers and at least three cars. And for the 6 years, 2015 until last year,we had 4.

6 Fords
3 Mercurys
2 Chevrolets
1 Dodge
1 Toyota

The longest we owned a vehicle was 31 years, a 1987 Chevy Suburban.
The shortest we owned a vehicle was 18 months, a 1971 Chevy Suburban.
5 were purchased used. 8 were purchased new.

We bought our first and only Toyota 2 years ago. It's a Camry Hybrid LE. The doors are a longer reach to close when fully open than any car we have owned, it has a smallish trunk. It does have more features than other cars we looked at and gets better mileage. And while a Japanese brand, it was built in the U.S. And our Ford was built in Canada.

Like so many others we were loyal to Honda for many years. They were (are) great cars and we never had problems or concerns with the six we owned. About 15 years ago my wife tried Volvo and is fiercely loyal to them. She now drives the XC90 and plans to keep it for many years. I don't like driving Volvos but she loves them.

My firm has a vehicle allotment so I get one every three years whether I want to or not. I don't care much about cars but we have to lease a certain "level" so no Hondas. I just went with BMW for 12 years so I guess that was my loyalty. This time I went with Alfa Romeo. It is much more enjoyable to drive (and fast) than the BMW, but overall BMW is better quality and if I was purchasing would definitely choose BMW over Alfa. No idea what I will do next year.

Not loyal to one make over the years

VW
Dodge
Ford Grenada, Taurus, Probe
Mazda 4 times
Ford Fusion 2 times
Honda CRV Touring 2 times and what we drive now.

I’m loyal to Honda. I had a 00 civic and now a 16 civic. My dad was a loyal Honda buyer too.
This would be my parents and I. Honda all the way. My parents are on their 5th (or maybe 6th) Honda Accord in a row. And I am on my second Civic. And I figure if and when it dies, I will get another Honda.

Similar for us. Head gasket with a Honda, too many issues to count with Subaru. Our Toyotas have been really solid.

My husband, son and I all have 2014 Chevy's. 1500 truck, Equinox and Cruze.
I have had luck with Honda as well. I've been eyeing either a Kia or Hyundai next.

73 Ford Ltd - my 1st car in 1985
76 Malibu Classic-husband's first car in 1985
Toyota Celica- husband's 2nd car
85 Mercury Lynx my 2nd car
1990 Ford Ranger husband
88 Acura Integra mine
1994 Toyota Camry mine-new-then became our son born in 1994 1st car
Dodge Grand Caravan- mine kid hauler
Nissan Altima-husband
Mitsubishi - husband drives lots for work
Toyota Sienna- mine
Toyota Highlander - mine

4 Kids
Ford explorer
Accord shared by a couple of kids
Civic shared by a couple of kids
Hyundai
Buick Encore
2 corrollas

We now lean Toyota- most reliable of all autos we've owned

Last two vehicles have been Hondas. Have been very pleased with the brand. My next car will probably be an Acura MDX - technically staying with Honda, just nicer.

If I have a choice & sufficient funds available, it's Honda. That hasn't always been the case & I've had a Chevy, Ford & a Dodge, but given my druthers & enough $$$s, I'll always choose a Honda.

Since 1973, I have owned or leased Chevrolets, Saturns, Pontiacs. Oldsmobiles and Buicks. So, I guess you would say I am loyal to GM.

Not really, although I probably have had more Fords than anything else. Currently own Nissan just because I wanted something different. I have also had Dodge, less than impressive.
