Are you impacted by the Jif peanut butter recall?

yep, threw our jar in the can. At least my 18 month old grandson couldn't tell the difference between JIF and Peter Pan.

I noticed there were a lot of Crunchy options, too, but not a lot of Smooth.

I have bought the All Natural peanut butters before, like Teddy, but no one else likes it so it goes to waste.

We like crunchy, so hopefully that's a good sign for us.

I've tried the Teddy at a friend's house, but I don't like it either. (And I can never seem to stir it without making a mess.)

By the way, the key to spreading the natural peanut butter is to use a spoon, especially when the jar is still very full. Don't try to stir it up--you'll make a mess--just dig the spoon below the level of the oil that sits on top, down to the gooey part, and bring up a spoonful. When the jar get about halfway empty, just stir it up before you use it. Unless you're really good at completely mixing the oil back into the solids every time you get some peanut butter (which my family isn't), you'll still end up with maybe an inch of unspreadable peanut solids left at the bottom of the jar at the end. That is great for smoothies or for digging out and eating with a spoon (my husband's favorite nighttime snack).

Had 2 new jars of Jif and both on the recall list, so both into the garbage. We do not like Skippy at all. And my store was out of Peter Pan. So I got the store brand. Have not heard any complaints so I guess it is ok.

No. My son is a big peanut butter eater but currently we have Skippy but will get Jif if it’s cheaper.

If anyone tossed theirs, instead of taking it back for a refund, Jif has a recall page up, so you can contact them and get coupons for the bad items. You don't have to know the UPC or any of the information, just what kind it was and what size. If it's more than one kind, or one size, you have to do more than one form.

We are a Jif household, I can't imagine eating any other brand. Funny that Jif peanut butter played a big role in Stranger Things season 4. That was ironic!

No, not a big peanut butter eater. I do have a jar of Jif in the cupboard but I bought it several months ago.

I usually buy Kraft but the store was out of small jars and I don't eat it fast enough so I got Jif for the first time.

We had bad storm on the weekend that knocked out the power and most cell services. I was not worried I had a new jar of peanut butter. Woke the next morning to no power but at least the spotty internet got me a recall notice email.

A 5 day power outage with no peanut butter sucks. So much for disaster planning.

Yes. Between work and home we had 4 jars of various sizes plus a spoonful left in one jar. All were recalled. I threw out the almost empty jar and filled out a recall form on their website for the unopened jars. Supposedly they will send me coupons for replacements. I should throw out those jars too, I was waiting for confirmation that they received my submission and there were no errors in the numbers I typed in. I have that now so they should be tossed.
Thank you! I didn’t know there was a recall form. Just did that! We had 3 40oz jars. We eat a lot of it. We have it with breakfast on a spoon with a banana (same with a snack at night) and then PB&J sandwiches. Bought 3 different brands now. Reese’s is ok. Did not like Peter Pan with honey (they were out of regular Peter Pan and skippy). I also bought a store brand.

Ummm, Jif Natural (without added sugar) is included in the recall.
OK, (it does contain palm oil). Much of what the company makes does have a lot of unnecessary added sugar. I prefer the ingredients in mine - only dry roasted peanuts and salt.

I checked and only have two jars of Skippy: honey roasted smooth and regular chunky.

Skippy Chunky and Great Value Smooth peanut butter in the pantry currently. Can't remember the last time we bought Jif.

Thru out one jar of mostly empty Jiff and matched the recall numbers. We had already eaten most of it and no one got sick.

I'm so lost without my Jif smooth. I adore it but the other brands are too sweet and fake tasting to me. I hope they fix this soon. I bought the smallest jars I could find of Skippy, PP, and Reese's but I cannot eat any of them. Luckily, my dog is not as picky.
