Are you Hungry? DxDP at Polynesian AUGUST 2010 Final update Epcot ~ *completed trip*

Thanks for allof the great pics and info! We are going in November and will be eating at Narcossee's and it was nice to see some pictures! Glad you had a great time!

So this afternoon my mom and I really wanted to explore wilderness lodge. We wanted to see what it was like compared to are own home in the Northwest. So we took the boat over to the Magic Kingdom and then took the boat over to Wilderness Lodge.

We thought the geiser was pretty cool. The theming of this resort was very neat! We think the theming and nature to this hotel was very realistic to are own home. We walked around and saw Artist Point and thought wow.. that restaurant looks really cool we should eat there tonight. We were looking at the menu and one of the cast members came up here and asked if he could help with anything. My mom asked is there any availability for tonight and he said yeah, what time? we told him 6:30. Then we called my brother and dad ad told them get on some nice clothes because were not going to eat at restaurant marrekesh.

My brother wanted a picture in front of the geiser too.

My brother saw donald and thought he would try to duplicate the expression on Donald

My dad ,mom and brother all ordered the Smokey Portobello Soup as their appetizesr and thought it was very good.

My dad ordered the Cedar Plank Roasted Wild King Salmon and thought it was delicous. The salmon came out on a cedar plank and then they put it on his plate.
331.jpg

I got the Buffalo Sirlion. There is a small type of salsa on the side and it was extremely spicy! I don't know what it was, but it was hot tasting.
332.jpg

My brother ordered the Seared Day Boat Scallops and thought it was very good!
333.jpg

Lastly my mom ordered the Pan-seared Halibut and really liked it.
335.jpg

For dessert my dad got maybe the Vanilla Chocolate Terrine :confused3 were not quite sure what he got anyway he really liked it.
336.jpg

My mom got the Artist Point Cobbler. She thought this is the best cobbler she had for a long time.
338.jpg

My brother and I both ordered the mickey puzzle! This was one of my favorite desserts the whole trip :) Sorry I don't have a picture of what my plate looked like after I decorated.

After dinner we headed to Magic Kingdom. We got here 20 minutes before the Electrical Parade began and got a good spot where we could see the show clearly.

Here are some picture's of Disney's Electric Parade:

After the parade my parents let me and my brother do a few rides that we wanted to do while the park was still open and they would go back to the resort and begin packing for the next day. My brother and I went walk on to Pirates of the carribean and then went onto Big thunder mountain railroad. We then went onto Space mountain (and loved it!) and teacups before leaving the park. Once we got back onto the ride we had to pack. :sad1:
We were going to catch the Magical Express at 2:45pm so we packed the night before so we could do Epcot the next day still.

UP NEXT: Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast

Your welcome! We definetly had a great dinner there. :goodvibes

Lovely reviews! We're staying at the Poly and we'll have the DxDP, so I appreciate your reviews. Too bad you did not have dinner at Tutto. I've been trying to figure out what they have on their dinner menu.

You all look very sweet. I hope when my kids are teenagers, they are as appreciative of trips to WDW as you and your brother seem to be. Clearly ya'll had a blast!

Grand floridian Cafe breakfast

Are ressie here was 8:15am and since we were leaving later today we decided to get are baggage checked, and check out of are room. There was 1 slight problem when trying to get are checked baggage done. We prepaid through united where are whole family could check up to 2 bags (if wanted) for the whole year for 250.00 dollars. When they were going to take are bags they had no idea what we were talking about and since they had no internet connection they first told us they could not do anything for us. Then one of the ladies decided to call united and confirm that we had already pre-paid for checked luggage. They got it confirmed and we were off on are way to the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Are server here just let me say was above fantastic! He was the best server we had all week long. He went above and beyond with everything for this meal.

My mom ordered the bagel and loved it! She said it was really good and loved having such a variety of toppings.
405.jpg

My dad ordered the pancakes were good. Nothing was very special about them but, he thought they tasted good.
404.jpg

I ordered the maple vanilla french toast and thought it was better than Kona cafe's french toast.
407.jpg

And finally my brother ordered the Ham and Cheese Omelet and thought it was delicous.

Overall this restaurant was very good and we would definetly eat here again. Like I said earlier are waiter here was fantastic. He made sure that we got everything the Deluxe dining plan entitles. He brought the coffee with warm cups and had seperate french presses for both of them. He asked what other drink my parents wanted and they asked for water and he brought back Evian with chilled glasses. He was excellent with checking up with everything and didn't let one detail go without being noted. For example when he pressed the coffee he made sure he spent a while doing it so the coffee would be pressed correctly.

UP NEXT: A 1/2 day at Epcot and Tangeriene Cafe lunch

We ate at Tutto italia last year and thought it was really good. We would have loved to have dined there, we are going to try to put it into are next trip.I don't remember what we ordered there last year but I remember the service being really quick and the food being really yummy. My brother and I love disney parks, I'm sure your kid's will too at are ages. There's always something for everyone. I hope you have a great upcoming trip! :goodvibes

A 1/2 day at epcot and Tangeriene Cafe lunch

After breakfast we decided to do some more shopping at Grand Floridian before hopping on the monorail to epcot. We got to Epcot and we decided to get fastpasses for test track then go through the countries more. We went through Norway and did Maelstorm, and saw the movie. We then walked by most of the countries until it started to pour rain! When it began to pour rain we decided we would eat early at Tangeriene Cafe.

Here's a few pictures with us and the vikings.

Sorry the pictures are terrible for this restaurant!

Are all time favorite Baklava! Yumm
427.jpg

Lunch was very good. This is are favorite counter service because the food always taste fresh and delicous. We cannot get a lot of morrocan food around are area either.

We hung around the countries for a bit before we decided to go on Test Track. One problem, when we got there it was shut down. We decided to give are fastpasses to a family of 3 that we saw walking up to the ride. We didn't try to stick around and wait because we didn't want to risk getting back to are room too late.

We headed to the monorail and then it started to pour rain again! Luckly we were covered under the monorail station.

Here's a picture but the rain didn't start yet.

After getting back to are resort it rained off and on and we just stayed upstairs until about 2:00pm and waited outside. It was sunny when we went out then. So the Orlando weather is really quite unpredictable. Are transportation back home went smoothly (eventhough we really wanted to wanted to stay).

Overall are trip was amazing and we definetly enjoyed it! We would probably go on deluxe dining plan again because it was a lot nicer to go to table service restaurants for lunch and have more freedom to eat at a nicer place for lunch if you want to. We overall were pleased with are stay at the Polynesian. The only thing my dad didn't like too much was all the visitors that trailed in there and seemed to use the amenities. One afternoon I was swimming and I heard the family in front of me say that they like this pool better than the pool at their hotel. I don't know if for sure they were "pool hopping" but it kinda makes you a little bit frusterated when people just use the amenities at your resort instead of enjoying it at their own. We loved are room! It was way nicer than we could have imagined! Are transportation around was fabulous and we really loved the monorail. We loved the Polynesian but don't know if we want to stay there or try for another resort. Now it's onto planning for are next trip! :)

Thanks for reading!:goodvibes

I just edited my post to say we ate at LTT for lunch the same day too!

We were in Samoa. The otherside of the quite pool. The very corner room on the first floor. You can just see the bushes that blocked our patio off from the picture from your balcony.

Our trip was GREAT!

I'm just now on your MK post. Bed time routine around here takes away from my DIS time! :rotfl:

We did rope drop that same morning and went to Frontierland first, rode PoC then Splash.

I'm looking for us in the background of your pictures! :thumbsup2
