There was a survey on our local radio station asking 'What are you most looking forward to on the TV today ?' and Ant & Dec's Takeaway came first with Dr Who a close second, the Royal Wedding came last
I am!! I think that, personally, it's been awful the amount of publicity (both good and bad) that these two people have had. I sure that everyone wishes them well.
They weren't the first and they will certainly not be the last people to do something that they shouldn't have.
My point was that they should be allowed to get on with their lives and be left alone. I, for one, am fed up with seeing page upon page of rubbish written about people that are in the public eye. Everything that happens to members of the Royal Family and, celebrities, for that matter, happens on a daily basis to someone else somewhere in this country. Just because they are famous doesn't mean that they aren't entitled to some privacy.
OK Andy I apologise - I wrote it tongue in cheek but it obviously came across differently - sorry!! I agree that they are by no means the only people in the country to have committed adultery and I also agree that there is far too much rubbish (probably largely fabricated) written about famous people. Everyone should be entitled to have a private life. I also agree 100% with "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". However I would add that with great privilege comes great responsibility and the way in which they have conducted themselves has not set the best example to others and I find it very difficult to see how Prince Charles can reconcile his past behaviour with his future position as Head of the Church of England. However I do hope they are happy together and I'm sure they will be.
I'm not ashamed to say I watched it from begining to end and throughly enjoyed it. They both looked very very happy, it was very tastefully done, and as I have said before as long as their children are happy for them, that's what really matters.
Good luck to them, I really do hope they have a long and happy life together.
I watched the service at Windsor - it was nice to see the royal family looking so relaxed
I had to laugh when the coaches pulled up to take the royals back to the castle for the reception - they looked like they had never been on a coach before
I don't understand most of what you said Cochise - Prince Charles admitted his adultery - it's not an idea "twisted by the press". I think your idea of a perfect ending is a lot different from mine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and also entitled to express it. I am also Welsh but one of the "idiots with a Diana flag" - Princess of Wales too, I believe.
I too watched the wedding all the way through and enjoyed it I wish them all the luck and happiness in he world. Neither of them have done anything that thousands of normal people do everyday. We all make mistakes and God forgives us for them. Both Charles and Camilla have paid for theirs.
