I don't understand most of what you said Cochise - Prince Charles admitted his adultery - it's not an idea "twisted by the press". I think your idea of a perfect ending is a lot different from mine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and also entitled to express it. I am also Welsh but one of the "idiots with a Diana flag" - Princess of Wales too, I believe.

The truth of the matter is Camilla is offically The princess of Wales although she has chosen not to use that title for obvious reasons.

I am also Welsh, still live in Wales, and it does'nt bother me at all. After all Diana also admitted adultry, and before anyone tells me it was after Charles though, 2 wrongs still dont make a right.

The boys seem happy enough, they adore their Father and like any of us, only want their parents to be happy.

Di, you are right, everybody is entitled to their own opinions, and mine is that life is far to short to live it on your own, if there is somebody out there you love and who loves you back.

I agree with Mike,I couldn't care less about the marriage ( of overpriviliged people,my words not Mike's!) but wouldn't condone people booing,that's horrible.

For the discussion regarding Prince Charle';s indiscretions being long ago everyone can make a mistake etc.I completely agree with that only in I feel in Charles case it was different.The upper class behave in a different way when it comes to monogamy,ie it isn't one of their morals.I really believe in the eyes of the aristocracy/royal family etc, the worst thing Diana did was being extremely common about expecting (as us real mortals do) that her husband would be faithful to her.In the aristocracy's eyes, not turning a blind eye to affairs is a working/middle class thing and is vulagar.Had Diana (who I really liked) been able to live like expected with her husbands long running affair,she would still be alive and still be 'married'.So she then started on lots of souless affaris of her own,I believe this isn't the way she wanted to live.

Andrew Parker Bowles (Camillas original husband) was called a cuckold.He was nothing of the sort,there was no secret affair kept from him.He knew all along his wife was Charles mistress as he had mistresses of his own.It was only the press who made him out to be an idiot for 'standing for it',that ended their very successful upper class marriage.

I'm not defending what I see as their attitude to marriage,it is one of the reasons the royal family/aristocracy disgusts me and proves IMO they are so far removed the from the lives of ordinary people

Good luck to them both, my only problem would arise should he become king, I would have a difficult time respecting him as the head of the Church of England!, which is I think part of the reason that the Queen did not attend the civil service. That's not to say that I don't agree with divorce or remarriage wether civil or in a church, happiness and a loving relationship are important. I suppose what I am really saying is I don't know how I feel about it, it was strange though that we said no prayers for them in church this morning, now was that because the person who was on prayer ministry did not agree or was instructed not to mention it or just forgot - this is a debate that will go on for a long time yet, but basically I wish them both happiness that's nothing less than we all deserve!!!

Well, having decided not to write any more as I seemed to be annoying people, I just have to say that snookhams put my thoughts into words perfectly. I do hope they're happy - I've never seen Prince Charles look so happy and relaxed as he did in the photos on the front of the papers this morning and of course we should all forgive past mistakes - Sue and lagunn have illustrated that magnificently in their own lives - but as a committed Christian it's really hard to accept Prince Charles as the future Supreme Head of the Church of England given the Church's teaching on divorce. It's just really difficult.

I don't agree that Charles should have been allowed to marry her and remain head of the Church and become king. His line of the family wouldn't even be in power if King Edward had been allowed to marry Mrs Simpson without abdicating. Why should it be any different for Charles?

However that is only my opinion and I certainly don't think that booing at the wedding is in any way the right way to act. If you don't agree with it all then just stay away and ignore it. That's what I'm doing and I'm happy with that decision!!
