Are you going to meet Duffy the Disney Bear?

They go nuts for him in Tokyo. He's not just a character there -- he's probably the most popular character in Disney Sea. Also, the dolls there sell for ridiculous prices... and it seems like every single person who walks into Disney Sea buys one.

Oh man, Duffy is such a big deal over there. I used to see the Japanese tourist with their Duffys in the park all the time last Fall. I would LOVE to see him come to Epcot

This could be a play to get more Japanese tourists to WDW as well. They tend to prefer Disneyland, because LA is an easier flight (when they're not visiting their own Disney parks, of course). But with a DVC sales center opening in Tokyo, pictures of Duffy on the grounds of WDW will definitely have some appeal.

As mentioned he is just HUGE in Tokyo. Disney's apparently hoping that will carry over to the US.

We can't wait to meet him. We have a few Disney Bears in our house - a lilac one, a brown one and a DCL Pirates in the Carribbean one.

Duff is the Disney Bear and there are a few different models for sale all sooo cute ! I also have the story book, it is a story about Mickey's bear coming to life at WDW.

We bought all four of our grandchildren the Mickey Bear when they were born and we have one too. He is so cute. I don't think I've ever noticed the storybook. I'll be looking for it on our November trip.

We will absolutely be meeting the Disney Bear!! My DDs (18 &12) just love him! They have the bear and the book.
Plus he is just adorable
