Are You Going To Do Concierge At The Polynesian This Summer?

I am so bummed out that the Hawaii longhouse will be down this summer I know concierge will be moved to the Tahiti longhouse, but have no desire to do concierge there. I love the location of Hawaii and I can't imagine not sitting in the lobby looking out at that view. We love the Polynesian so we thought about staying in a regular room. I only wonder what the construction will look like and if there will be a lot of noise with it? It's not like the Hawaii longhouse is out of the way like some others, it's right there next to the pool. We stayed at the BWV's in July and I have had enough of enhancements on my vacation We really want a monorail resort. I think the rooms at the CR are cool, but the pool there doesn't seem exciting. I really like the GF and I prefer their restaurants over the CR. I just wish the themed pool didn't close so early at the GF. We really enjoy taking a late night swim watching the fireworks. We have friends that want to joing us this year too I was just curious what you are going to do this summer if you usually stay in concierge at the Polynesian?

Nope... we're not doing Poly Concierge this summer. We're splitting a stay between the BWV and the Poly in Feb-March but we're going to stay away this summer and wait for the rehab to be completed and go down next fall. We're excited about the Hawaii building going through its rehab.
It will be like staying in a new resort

We are still going to do LV Concierge for our 20th wedding anniversary in July. From talking with Tikiman the castle views are actually better at Tahiti, the rooms are a bit bigger and they have double sinks. This is a plus. It also looks from pictures that Tahiti has a pretty large sitting area which is where they will house the Concierge. When I talked with the manager at the Poly about this he said they planned to make it very special for those that opt to do concierge during the rehab. Not quite sure what that meant but we shall see. We did regular GV concierge this pas trip and loved it and Im sure we will love it when its at Tahiti also.

We'll be there from July 19-26. We thought about going somewhere else or just getting a regular room. We decided to go concierge anyway. Anyone have any ideas about what special things they can do for those of us who opt to go during the rehab? What floor will the concierge lounge be on? Will they still do the check-in for concierge guests at the building? Any advance info is greatly appreciated.
