Always happy to stay at either of our home resorts, Poly & CCV. At 7mos we will check to see if there is another resort we may wish to try.

We stay at our home (PVB) 95% of the time. We might tack on a night before or after somewhere else, but generally are very happy at Poly. This past March I had switched to Beach Club because of Poly renos, but then we didn’t end up going because of Covid.

We mostly stay at the Poly, though our most recent trip w/ the grandparents we got a 2BR at CCV. We will made a few trips over to the Poly though. 😂

I imagine that we will try to stay at most other resorts at least once, especially when a 2BR makes more sense than 2 Studios. But Poly isn't just where we own; it's our home resort.

I bought at Riviera in March. Our first DVC stay was actually at Kidani because I needed a little getaway from work and that was what was available for a weekend on short notice. Our first Riv stay is next month for food and wine! Then in October I'm using my Riv points to stay at Aulani, then in December at the GF for Christmas. In January I'll be back at Riv for Festival of the Arts.

I think Riviera will be our primary location, but I like the flexibility to "sleep around" as well.

Since purchasing in 1992, every stay, so far, except for one, has been at my home resort of OKW. That one stay was in a Poly studio. I have a DV and 1 bedroom booked for an 11 person group at OKW over thanksgiving. Next June, I have a one bedroom booked at OKW, but...if there is availability, I want to try a Savannah view 1 bedroom at Kidani. But generally, OKW really feels like Home when I'm at Disney.

I own at AKV, PVB and RIV. I'm mostly faithful! My family and I have a special place in our hearts for BCV because for our first ever trip to WDW, we stayed there on the hotel side and did a second time a few years ago. Based on that, I wouldn't mind a small contract there. We're also planning on going to Aulani next year, but our stay next month will be split between AKV and RIV. Can't wait because I added on at RIV sight unseen, other than YouTube videos. :D

We own at BLT and SSR. Honestly, we were idiots when we bought SSR. We had no idea you could buy at different resorts, we didn't even know of BCV. Had no idea of waiting for a contract at an other resort or anything about resale. Coming from value resorts all time, SSR looked amazing. We didn't realize the bus system at the time. So in the end, we have spent very little time there, only when we have no choice.

Our home resorts are BWV and SSR. We actually stay at both alot and love both resorts but we also have had stays at Poly and BLT. We would love to eventually try all the DVC resorts out. We're mostly happy at whichever resort we are staying at but we are also always happy to be to be at our 2 "homes."

You were a very early adopter back in 1882. 😉

Sounds like the perfect Thanksgiving. There are so many family activities at OKW. It’s an ideal place for it!

I purchased WLV ( resale) aka “BRV”:p Dec 2006. Specifically to stay during Christmas time. We only did that once lol.
I added on 2x direct same use year same resort to keep things simple.

The ONLY reason I purchased DVC was for the flexibility. We have stayed at every DVC except RIV and GFV.

I love my home resort and happy to say it is still probably my favorite!!!!

However….. I am a huge split stay fan.
Usually stay few nights MK area then move to Epcot area.
Feels like 2 vacations! Totally different vibes in resorts.

My least favorite resort is actually AKL.
Yes animals are cool but there is no resort area .
I love to walk around the resort at night before bed.

Wow! 1882?? LOL

From 1992 until 2012, we only stayed at OKW.

When I took over the management of the membership from my parents, I started branching out and booked some of the other resorts to try them. Now, when I book ahead (11 months, then try to switch at 7), I stay at OKW 75% of the time BCV or BWV 25%. There's a lot of trips, however, that I book DVC's definition of last minute (<2 months in advance) and those tend to get cobbled out of whatever won't require me to switch rooms.

Admittedly, I love OKW, and I'll keep the points until they expire in 2057, but if I didn't have my history with it, and I were buying now, I'd probably buy and stay exclusively at BCV.

Dont plan to be would be my answer since we havent had our first trip yet. Doing a split stay between BLT and home resort of SSR. Mostly plan to do split stays to start to try out a few of the resorts to see which we end up liking. Exception to that being in 2023 we are planning to get 3 studios at SSR to bring both sets of parents with us, after that though, back to split stays hopefully.

Almost 99% Disloyal ! Owner since 2011. 2 contracts SSR and BWV. I love telling this story that the ONLY time I've stayed at SSR was due to my dad trading his HGVC points to DVC and he invited us to stay at a 2BDR at SSR. Our 1st ever stay at BWV was Dec. 2019. My daughter caught wind of Storm-along-bay and I normally at 7 mos. end up moving to BCV (obviously). Stayed several times at AKV, VWL (will still refer to it as VWL), the RIV, VGF, OKW (again on my dad's HGVC trade in) and BLT (yes, I always think of a diner or something). Had an 8 night stay booked earlier this year for SSR from New Year's Eve to 1st week of Jan. 2022. Was able to piece together 8 nights at BLT instead. Only WDW resort we have not stayed in is Poly. Living in Cali we are able to get stays at VGC (even our BWV points, which I H8 doing but have to use). Anywayz, yes Dis-Loyal pretty much all the time !

Quick question off topic:
Is there a list somewhere that translates all the abbreviations that I see here when I'm actually reading and cannot decipher what people are trying to convey, cuz i'm like "huh???, what???" then it takes me awhile to figure out the abbreviation. I'm slow on the uptake !

We go once a year usually in early December & usually for 10-11 days/nights which is always tough at 7 months. We alternate years between our 2 resorts, one year at AKV, the next at VGF. We tried split stays, but I’m not a fan of midstay moves.
I first bought AKV, and other than early on when I used my AKV points to check out the possibilities for contract #2, all of my AKV points have been used there. All of my VGF points have been used there. In the future I might switch out some AKV points at 7 months, but those VGF points are for VGF only.
W/ our AKV stays technically I suppose we aren’t staying at our true home resort since our points are at Kidani, but we always opt to stay at Jambo.

Own at CCV and SSR. We’ve used points at both for cabins, treehouses, and other… My family has stayed at AKL but I haven’t had a chance yet. We’ve also enjoyed OKW, HHI, and Vero Beach. Each of us is thrilled to stay at literally any WDW property. Any. Thrilled.
