Are you experienced?...wdw05...............

...i can't say enough bout those that goes out of their way to help
others. nor is it hard to pick up on those trying to circumvent the
system...in a negative way.no matter if iam not terchnical "right",
my family will still love me...but i think it is awful when others are
made afraid to include their feelings. those are my favorite reports
...and i think are providing the best insights... on capturing the magic.
so if your're sincere about being helpful then please don't discourage
others. i like to hear what others are experiencing...& their feelings.

dear debIreland...how wonderful the memories you have preserved for your
family...traditions that they can cherrish and make them feel special about
themselves...being irish and how strongly the focus is on family, is also
the prefect match with disney. to me, disney world is exactly that..walt's gift to the world, belonging to all families..where all is welcome. a place of good
will and where the family is not only recognized but embraced! i think that
feeling is spoken on the disboards..and should be protected from violators.
thank you for sharing your family history..it's a privilege, indeed!

ohhh, horsegirl..what a beautiful Irish girl inside you're. as soon as
i read your reponse..i had to go and hug my little girl...thank you as
i didn't even pick up all the meanings/ because of trying to recall
all the stuff going around [at disney].

sonotaprincess...i'm giggling again..no one proves what a real princess
is ,then you! i want my daughter to have your qualities. so precious
indeed.

thank you shridac...i hope there are a few values for whenever you go..
that add a little magic to your trip.

ok, a lil info--some of my siblings....partrick,daniel,catherine,michael,
timothy, see the pattern? however, mom's name was juanita....well
you know the Irish likes to venture... jordan's Irish dance instrucutor
turn down the lead role ..[money and fame] ..to teach.

back to the show... sorry i'm leaving some things up...like some of the
bathroom stops. boy,oh boy! i remember them because they were more
frequent! is that because ofthe heat or my little girl being bigger..i don't
know..but i did noticed us hitting almost every one of them!..maybe
blinders to keep them from seeing the signs? because assoon as they saw
them...bam, they had to go. all i could think..we're really are missing
all the "good" fast passes"....

ok,after second time around my head was going in circles...as my stomach
and every thing else. there's my wife standing over top of me, "thought
you wanted to get out of here?!....i'm the last one left. them i hear thecast
member asking her if we wanted to go again...that broought me back to
my senses and out of the car. "nice guy too".. can you go find my visor?
[f.y./i..it tooks weeks but i finally track it down..just a few track marks on
it]. we fast walk into the storearea...we always split..my girls shoppping
and me pic looking..got to hurry before the screen. why? because i like
taking movies of the pictures. goofy? and my family always giving me
heck for "wasting their time" but at home it is amazing how much they
enjoyed watching them..and adding comments. onhm, my gosh..got go
to work ...sorry.

You are cracking me up. Glad you found your visor. Have a good day at work :thumbsup2

grammyof2...meeting people like you have always made our trips magical!
your family is so lucky! i am sure you bring twice as much to a disney
trip than you take! the "world" needs more grannies! like debIreland &
the others scattered over these boards are golden! yep..the "golden girls"
..for all the right reasons. what you're not aware of...your comments
reminded me of a s.c. family we met at the crystal palace..their 2 girls
dressed in minnie costumes...we sorta joined together & swap disney
stories. it was great! ..just before we never knew each other....there is
something magical in doing things right..and that's what the feedback
proving..to me..it's people like "notsoaprincess" [giggle] and yourself that
makesdisney the place to be!

...back on track [he,he,he]. rnr,yep it got more turns and cureves than..
i don't know who....not that i would ever compare my wife to something
fast and furious...nope! iam not that type of guy..however, i seen some
[ever read the fella zzub's rpeort?]..well, my wife is exactly what i claimed
..the best person, mother and wife. not prefect but rather very kind,
cute and responsive [cuddly/affection]. not at all "crotchety" like me..
or darby...[i seen some meaness/ganging up ...it makes me worry that
those with wonderful disney stories to tell, will not. by far and away--
these are the stories that capture the magic { and can teach others}.]

ok...we're in the rnr "sweat" shop. i 'm doing the sweating for my $.though
i 've never been able to prove it... i think my wife :teacher: my daughter
on how to :crowded: her daddy's monies. ohhh, she is getting very good
at :stir: .well if there is one thing i like about disney is how quickly one
get over disappointments...must be the atmosphere. i think behind the
scenes, an imagineer has discovered a mood elevator [no not Tot], that
are spraying guests from behind the counters...cos where else would you
find guys happy to be spending $$$ on trinklets? this time i got off easy,
a bobbin minnie pin. however, her smile is worth triple the price! here's
a secret..[i need to keep]...whatever my baby wants, she get...my
wife says "no" more than i. but there are times my wife is behind the $
and i can usually tell. because i hear..it's something that will help her
grow..or something that matches our house. now what happens [on
rare occasions] when i try to say no? they go into a delay mode....
leading to plea, moaning and whiney. no wonder we live in a "warehouse".
boring i know but these shops seem to be on every ride except shows..
there they have rolling carts..so i try to redirect our seating..far,far away.
why? they are part of our disney expereinces because i met up with
other fathers trying to solve this "spell"...usually ending up laughing at
each other despair! look what you'll going to be carrying at the end of the
day! so on and so on. enough! i need to go comfort my poor and "incredible"
shrinking billfold.

...oh, we did more than i realized & we are transforming our approach.
it has become more of hobby to "think" what all the imagineers are
prompting you with their "decorations"..in '99, we just tracked from
ride to ride & never pay attention until we were on it. now i find myself
watching all the "in-betweens". ii pretty amazing "hearing" from others
on what they're picking up on...any way that's here's a secret..."ust
backwards." ha! hope i/m keeping you on your toes...

i re-read my intro..for accuracy...yep..that's a pretty good pic of the
way i live life....i have invented all these neat lil sayings but technecially,
i reject rules/plans..and just swinging it. at work, i was discussing [what
a funny word-notice the cussing part-someone making fun of us]..health
issues..like finding happiness...chose today the things you'll like to remember
tomorrow. behind that are values and morales....simply put, there are good
reasons for keeping your promises.i am spending alot of time on this...
and it's important..to me because there are alot of good people out there.
and i believe it is because of good people [cm's/guests] that the magic
works. i.e...when i read "notsoaprincess" report made me realized we
have met similar people and they gave our trip so many special things..
like pointing the little things. now iam gitting so much more than we used
too. '99 i remmeber being in mgm over by star tours before we even
started to plan our day...before we even looked at the guide...now we're
even having fun at the hotels..oh,boy-have we come a long way. all
iam saying..particiaption and sharing go together..and the returns will
bring you magic...and thank you for those we have met that did this for
us. [i hoping anyone reading & recognized us..will respond also].

here' a secret..i like looking at the picture thread before writing. [it puts
me in the proper mood]. it also educational..i never knew there was
alot of tinker bell stuff in the movie house @ mgm..hmmmm..a place to
redirect my wife/daughter from...

her's another..if i have to wait on my wife/daughter to check out all
the merchandise, a fun thing to do is watching people reactions to their
pictures...some are quite humorous..and makes great movies...i think
they would be great for a disney commcerial? and if you react to their
reactions, they will talk back...before you know it, you have a new
friend. new disney friends are neat. yeah ! and you could almost make
it a mission to run into some of the people from here...my guest they're
the ones having the most fun helping others.

here's one more...secret.....recognizing the cm's you've seen on the
travel channel. like the bell hop from Tot .he did his "routine" for us
..even opening the doors.."enjoy your stay".

walking out rnr [sound like a monoply place?]..and who turned up the
thermostat!!! geez it's must be 100! honey,water please..."what you
talking bout"..it's in my pack?..remember what we agreed on? she
had no idea how that happened..must been the boys...of course, the
first thing we see again is a merchandise cart...why didn't you check
it out before going in ...like i did? some times we just can't seem to
find the same "page". more wasted time. now we are walking back
toward the new show [motor/lights/action] but on the other side of
the street. [see ,we're experienced] because there are some really
cool stores on that side too[ talk bout gitting you coming & going].

ok..the following is a "guy talk", no dames allowed...so all you princesses
and even "notsoaprincess" scoot on to thenext section...please! don't
want to see a grow man crying....but i want to share "my spend -o-
meter...regarding our family/disney tug of war. oh,boy! :sad1:
#1/$5 to 10= total victory= :thumbsup2
# 2/ $10-20=moral victory= :teeth:
#3/ $20-40= mild anxiety [symptoms may vary]= :guilty:
#4/ $40-80=high anxiety= :bounce:
#5/ $80-100=lil depression :sad2:
#6/ $100 += major depression :badpc:

sooo..you want to know our standings since taking our little princess: ?
well let's say that sanford& son has nuthing over lil'grunpy savage & junk
enterprises! however,fellas i think there's hope... i'm got a new plan...
everytime entering/seeing a merchandise shop..give'em a chocolates
to distract away from. i let you know after our next trip. enough! i gotta
get more tissues! :hippie:

...good thing i am off today...wish it could've been off to disney world! atlas
we live far,far away..so it might as well be in another galaxy..dwats!! so
i guess i'm stuck re-living our "old" adventures. doing this make me realize
that none of our trips have been remotely similar. that one thing about
disney world..it is very dynamic or die-man-it or just plain mania. however, there are some stresors..like getting to sleep the night before..especially like us, 2 hrs. from the airport. oh,boy! have we had some interesting adventures
getting there..but thank goodness..not this trip...

mgm...walking back toward the new action show... from Tot/rnr... why ain't
there any character greeting over there? or least we never saw any. dwats,
double dwats..here's a secret that i wouldn't want people at work get a
hold of..i like meeting the characters and "uses" my daughter as a front. i
guess when she gets older, we're have to borrow a kid. but are there any
character greets on the road leading to Tot/rnr that we been missing?

oh, boy! do i receive alot of "slack" for talking disney up. yet there are several going this spring and seeking my advice. the problem..i'm no expert, just expereinced. so what have i been doing? lying/making up stories...now
that would be mean. instead i've been writing down and then checking with
my "disney dictionary", my wife. the only problem is when she a lil mad,
i got to delay...excuse making. when your really good its called rationization.
one of the things i been telling them is to seek out cm's and set a few
priorities based on their interests. [giving them our old guidemaps]. i also
lately been refering to these baords but they're not responding..i think
they're afraid of becoming like me? so what did come first--the boards or
disney world? :lmao:
on the way to the show, we stopped to rest due to heat. and the bench
is across the garden-like display..the one with walking brooms..carrying buckets of water. now where's the bottle water cart? disney imagineers
sure missed that oppturnity, huh? i remember this for a reason. while my
wife putting [ha! you thinking sinscreen?] chapstick...she goes thru 'em
by the gross. wonder what in them..probably the same secret ingredient
found in..chocolate? anyway, the brooms/garden has a little wrought iron
fence so i gues to keep you off the grass..but dosen't it look like the idea
place to lay down? remember when you was kid laying in the grass looking
up at the clouds? that's what it reminded me of...soft and inviting...and
the heat is just like a summer feeling. do you think that's why they put
that little fence up..to keep guests from daydreaming? instead sweating
& buying drinks & looking for air-conditioned shops. i'll bet if that fence
wasn't there, alot of guests would be snoozing and/or daydreaming. wonder
if disney clouds look like the characters? wonder if they would arrest
guests jumping the fence/laying on the grass? wonder what disney's cops
looks like..probably wearing those old blue uniforms, carrying billy clubs. wonder if anyone ever tried to find out...nope nope me ..it's just too hot.
next thing i know my wife is yelling get up...i wanted to asked her about
her planning...all this criss crossing but i didn't. i have learn that's a no-no.
but isn't it funny the things you find yourself thinking about at disney?
the only other thingthat got in our way over was all the characters under
the big top hat...however, my wifey poo quickly redirected me. soon i
noticed it started to get more and more crowded as we funneled thru.
i glanced at the old backtour and felt sad of all the changes..then as we
turned the corner, ther's a huge billboard welcomin guest...enugh!
daydreaming, i hear my wife hollering to take the trash out! you probably
can't see them, but i bet as soon as you lie down under a broom the
lizards come out..or even worst one of the buckets soaks you..afterall
we at disney and those imagineers are the sneaky lot... :hippie:

oh,boy! i like days off and re-living our disney trip. i do promise to get
a new keyboard before our next trip...thanks for all the tag-a-longs
and your patience. that's sounded like girl scouts cookies...hmmm/good!
that's probably why not too many guys do reports...anyway, i hope to
make it interesting enough...here's a secret- i recorded some of
the disney commcericals at the begining of my videos as sorta of an
intro and to show what htey were promoting [the 50th anniv.]. i think
alot of the currentcommcerials are pretty neat and they help make my
movie making more tolerable especially the mistakes....

anyway we had no other problem making it to the lma show. however,i
wasn't too happy with the seats my wife decided on..in the sun. we could made it to the shade if she only climb a few more rows. she just said
enough and that was that. the show was a typical car stunt show. it
waswell done [disney style] and herbie made it cute. however, i thought
if they had the bad guys running up down the ailes would added to the
effects. as it was, i think our favorite part was answering the preshow
questions. oh, i gettin the red light...sorry just my wife so i better
cut this short...the dog took off down the street [and she is in her night
clothes]. :wave2:

hi!...just back from reading some of the other trip reports. great!
i've been thinking why they're so special...so many of you are
adding your "experiences" too. that is so :cool1: and educational.
i 'm glad there are so many on these boards that 1]. have disney
insights and 2]. are not afraid to share their insights. here's a secret..
it has made me respect my wife's planning/scheming much more!
and in this way,i can be more supporting. therefore, this has been
a great experience..that i never counted on. [writing a report]

hot and sticky. sticky and hot...probably the first thing the guys
are thinking..its his wife[ he,he,he]. i been thinking- bout her having
us walk clear across the park in order to do the first show...while
that sorta look like poor planning, it put us in the right place..to do the
rest of the park. hoping that makes sense? and it would have been
"great" planning if it wasn't such a hot day [esp.for oct.]..what can
you do? the disney masters decided on this showand its location. my
wife is a "pretty" [dee how i sneak that in fellas?]...good planner.
everyone see the new stuff becuase that what's they're highlighting
on the commcerials..so you sota feel pressure to add the new stuff?
and you know from experience, that they should be done first? any
way, that kind the priorities my wife is using. "let the new stuff be
your guide" . however, even taking breaks-the walk over konk us out.
except my daughter...who jumping up and down and hollering at herbie
for a ride. two good things... the show is long enough for a rest/ heck
i never knew 45 minutes could be so refreshing--i bet i sneaked in 3 to
4 naps! [well, little ones are'nt the only kids needing naps]. the second
thing..i find "someone" had hidden a umbella in the rollling "trunk". instant
shade.

though we run into a crowd getting in, the stadium wasn't crowded at
all..and that's why i could stretched out. nice. but when girl started
speaking "french", i woke up. she sorta looked like a dot but they also
showed her up on the big screen..it looks like the one they now have
on the magic. little binoculars would be useful for this show...esp.
because the imagneers made a design mistake [my opinion]. all the
seating is facing the sun..it would have been so much better if
the seating was on the other side.that way the sun would be on your
back- majority of the day. the show is great esp. for car people.
but i think if they had banadits running up and down- where they
could talk to more kids [remember i always transform into my 10y/o ]
would be even better. to me,its fun watching cm's interacting with
others..espeically when they are unsuspecting..sorta like the guy
foolin me over at Tot. [everyone in our "elevator was giving their
comments and laughing].

got to say..while this is pretty cool attraction..i missed the old backstreet
ride.

afterwards we waited for the herd to clear. then we stopped near that
hugh-mogerous billboard. why? because that's where the power rangers
will be....i can't believe they'restill going strong...they came out just when
my boys were theright age..1994/95. somewhere around then. we have
in our attic several completed first sets..even the yellow/pink rangers.
my oldest son favorite color was/is green [no thanks from slimer/ghotbusters
days]. if i knew 100th happy haunt better, i would send her the whole
lot and let her have fun dealing with tommy/calvin. nah, i really do like
her... but do you remember how tough it was to get the green one?
those awful markets only made him with some sota deviate robot...oh
the presure of getting them for christmas.! oh,boy! sure glad we're over
that... p.s. substuting even a limited edition starwars pack from fao
swartz was not a good idea. thankgoodness for birthdays--they alowed
you to "make up" those mistakes...enough. it'll be a real mistake if
i don't get critters outdoors, :) ..and thank for listening.. :wave2:

I'm still here with you and ready to read more. Lil' Grumpy you are really getting into this trip report and doing a great job. :thumbsup2

Oh no... you were doing great 'til you mentioned those Power Rangers! Just kidding really, sorta, but they turn my stomach... I too had to endure them when my boys were younger. They loved them but now vehemently deny that they were ever interested in them. :teeth: I dunno why I loathe those P. Rangers so much, but I think it's got something to do with how their bums look in those horrendous outfits. :rolleyes2 :lmao:

You managed to get so much done at MGM - I'm ashamed to say we achieved very little there. We did so well at the other parks, managing to mix a nice amount of attractions with a nice amount of relaxing and savouring the atmposhere but we did MGM 2 days and each day was sweaty, stressful and totally unproductive. Well almost. We saw Fantasmic, Muppets and Lights, Motor, Action. Oh hang on we did TOT and Rock 'n Roller (fab!) but honestly, no other shows, no WWTBAM, tons of things that we missed. I find that park very difficult as it makes me feel claustrophobic. :confused3 Next time we'll master it....... thanks for the reports Lil'.... keep up the good work.

power rangers...oh my..i like to get a hold of the person that re-introduced
them to my daughter...we thought we were thru with them. must been a
school thing. some how i think they're connected to godzilla movies.
ever noticed that for the rolling in the dirt , their outfits were always
clean? how they do that?..as our kids were the oposite.

you gus are great...i reviewed my orginal intro...and boy was i defensive in
my second posting...i shouldn't have explained so much. either they get it
or they don't. that showed my inexperience of the boards...because they
really wasn't addressing anything specfic or even trying to be supporting.

*my keyboard is "sticking" some words together & not transfering some
letters. i try to undo but doing sometimes mess up the structure. i don't
have the time to make all the corrections. sorry. iam trying to share some
of the special things we have discovered on our trips so others may benefit.

boy,oh boy! your comments about nagivating mgm are right on target. for
us, it is the toughest too! thanks for being so nice, p.s. i felt this was
our worst/disorganized park.

so here we are after theshow hanging out for the dreaded power rangers.
dwats, do i have too? my wife was very quick in her response. thus leaving
no room to debate. however, there's is a band playing songs from queen.
they're were actually pretty good...which helped pass the time. blazing hot
and no shade. and since i lost my visor thewrewere noshade. you'll think
disney would arrange every character greeting so there shade? think bout
those costumes..do they change after each preformance? who knows..cos
i am desparate for shade..any shade..yep that's me "wearing" our rolling
pack/trunk on top of my head! the point is, i'm into "comfort" not "style"
and i will compensate. my wife is into comfort too..and she often goes in
her tomboy outfits..here's a secret..she really is "cute as the dickens".
but not cute enough to keep from yelling at me for embrassing her...
or was for dumping everything out? i compensated here by moving out
of her eyesight and/or earsight...p.s. what does it matter-i never
look cute. which i think is cool.
i remember the heat for this reson..i didn't want to redo this greeting. so
i made sure what type of rangers she "had" to meet [the one benefit of
having to go thru this with my boys..i knew different colors were more
popular than others] and asked a cm exactly where we needed to be. so
when they came we knew and didn't had to jockey for positions..and
they didn't stay long! we got pink and white. though i did take the pics..i
didn't realized how cute my daughter poses were. have you done that?
did try to get my wife in some of the posses but she wouldn't budge.
something about blackmailing her. "talking" about how cute they would be
had no effect. ..my wife has become too experienced in my opinion. and
so we lost the opportunity for a great mantle pic. however, my daughter
had it down pat...with her miss piggy doll and all. oh,yeah..i did sneak
some pics of my wife interacting but if i ever show'em..not suitable for
framing..based on my safety needs. :rolleyes1

*please forgive me..but i forgot to have mentioned at the stadium, there
was only one umbrella..which i brought. however, during napping, it
was confiiscated by my wife. literally , she proved if you snoozed, you
lose..here's a secret..hunting gear is very adaptable to theparks in that
it is created very light [wt.]. including binoculars.

another observation for being "reflective"... but yesterday on the cb, someone was distress over her daughter becoming sick at wdw.
she was all by herself so she turned to the boards for comfort. by
the way people rally around her was impressive! i am sure it gave her
great comfort. it also showed how much she trusted the people on
here....a testimony of a caring group. when i started,i was very
surprised at being questioned if this was a "real" trip report..i thought
i made it clear at the begining. i just think when one provide a lil
background info would be insincere. even though iam using humor,
the actual events are accurate. and that's why it is important to
stress this especially when i read things like the lady on the cb.
as i read her plea, i realized what a great service these boards are
providing. and i'lladmitt..i like reading about those describing their families
best... for i awlays thought that's the true meaning behind going to
disney.geez, iam "windy" . sorry.

your insights via feedback..is amazing esp.toward my wife. it is no
exaggeration-she is very special. and before we went ..i wanted to try
to set something up for her...to feel special & apprication. not to tease
but it was for crt...and i wasn't sure exactly how it would panned out.
and that's the second reason for setting up the background..so it will
make snese when i tell it..the third....i/m in a pinch for time as getting
done versus running a kid program for our community. i read a tr over on
the cruise and stopped before castaway day! :furious: i am determined
to finish this one way or another...writing everyday..yesterday i had to
work 2 tours and was not at my best...dragging.

hoping that bring the fuzzy parts in more clearer.

go,go power rangers! well that's one way of looking at them. the other..
remember what your mother used to tell you..don't do anything you might
be ashamed of later...well the orginal power rangers are in the 30's.
they even was featured on tv guide...oh,boy! bet you they don't mentioned
that too often. the reason i used the celebrities' mag. reference....i just
think it's very uncouth for them to make fun by circling body parts.after
all they are people too ..and has families.

after that greeting session, getting that song off my mind was a challenge.
dwats. it a problem now! i don't understand why so many have a problem
with a small world...at least it carried a tune.

iam not sure who came next but thiswas when we met others characters as
we tried to work our way toward the next indiana jones[we hadn't seen it since 99]. i'll do the woody & buzz first....they added buzz's spaceship box as a display. while in line my daughter left...[we're always talking to other families] . she sneaking behind the box ..i thought for shade but no! she has spotted one of those silly & very green armymen...
[she remembers her experienceswith them from last year]. and just like that,
it's a cute lil movie scene. the army man is stalking some smaller boys
playing , near the box and my daughter s-talking him. needless to say, she
acted the spoiler but he didn't mind. they went all over the place including
distracting buzz and woody-and was "counseled" by the cm..to tell the truth,
i could't tell if it was for real or not so imade her get back in line. next thing
you know, the green man was stalking her and scared her.what a neat guy!
sometimes the best show isin the lines...if people interacted more would
makethe time go by faster. the young couple in front of us had their
hands full with twins and 2 [lil] older boys. we helped them by taking
their pics including the group shot. i think the cm was doing the autograph
books /and one was cutting the line off. [ i can't remember exactly].
the benefit by helping families with lots of kids is making the line move
more quickly. and it is fun! here's a secret..it makes your own home
movies even more special knowing those that are around you. '99
some teenaged girls out of the blue [i'm sure our boys had a lil to do with it]
volunteered to take our picsat mk...we have theinteraction on video
and it so sweet. afterwards my daughter [on her own/2y/o] went up
and thanked then..it madethem giggled. every time i watched this, i
wished we got their names. ..and let me say this: good looks are wasted
on the wrong people! my boys could cared less [or even grateful] that
they take after their mother....dwats , always had to compensated...
[sorry forflashback..but i still remember my wife making the comment
with our first one--hope he/she looks like you. are you crazy! yep true.
luckily they didn't or there be no hope [for grandkids] as they don't
compensate too well. and they never listened, dwats!

anyway,we make it to our turn when a big thunder strom erupted. it
started to poor and we hadn't took any pics. the cm stated they going
have to go in. i asked if we could get some quick photos & he agreed.
well because of therain, we had to do them under that small overhang...
it was prefect...because the farm land mural was now behind us. and
since we had the silo from the year before..made these alot more special.
who thought rain could be so useful?

then we "broke" for cover and finally made it inside the muppets store [now
i remember the sequence]....i asked the cm if missy piggy /hermit was out
today. she told me no...remember..my girl been holding a missy piggy doll
so this was disappointing. the rain stopped and as went back out ...we
saw jessie greeting in front of buzz. oh,boy! she wassosweet that ieven
got my picture. she also kept pointing to her head than our daughter...
brain infarct..they're both redhair. that jesse ..dwats that woody!...i still
tried togive her my phone number and all i got was a big laugh. her ecort
cm was a delight. i don't think the good ones [having the insights] receive
enough credit for a quality character experience. :thumbsup2

i don't remember exactly except we'rewalking toward muppets and there
a fence area..and missy piggy together..with hermit! oh,boy! we hit the
jackpot. however, i wanted to go back to the store cm..for a little counsel.
if we hadn't stop forjesse, we would missed missy piggy....i don't like being
mislead! however, wasting time isn't an option so we blew it off.[ok,my
wife helped by holding my shirt!]. sohere's another one of those dreaded
secrets..if it's one of your priority characters than seek a second opinon.
one of thething i mentioned was my lil girl kept making a reference to
miss piggy and her doll. i thought she was comparing it with the character.
not! while we doing the greeting, she pointed out to misspiggy her doll
was in the same dress as the big billboard. kids pick up things too. see?
if i had been paying a lil more attention, icould gotten that on film. dwats
again! what do i remember most during this? miss piggy red dress..
what a babe shewas that day! of course, i told her! i also pointed out
hermit being green with envy and that got him interacting. and fuzzy
too! he was in a tux..beleive it or not!

the muppets is one of those shows that people stopped in the middle. i
am not sure what to do. we just wait until the cm starts hollering. maybe
if they had a lazer pointer? ..or a paint gun? or maybe have a few chairs
removed where the cm's could be standing? of course, they're need one
of those flipsigns..for different languages? once seated, we really
enjoyed the show even though we see it every trip. my favorite parts
are the dirty old men [of course/ models] and the lil blue guy. i ask my
daughter if she thought he make a good date for tinkerbell? she made
one of her patent faces and screams "no"..my wife isn't happy with me,
soshe shhh me as if i am 10 y/o,,well iam! [wish these guys were doing
meets & greets- :clown: oh,boy! i'll be in :cloud9: here's a secret..with
all the excitment of meeting miss piggy, we missed the key under the
door mat..again.! in fact,we have never seen it. when do i remmber?
we are in line over at star tours...paging mr. tom morrow...and that's the
first time i pick up on that. the heat must be getting to me.oh, yeah ..
we'restill hitting every bathroom. enough...& more "power" to you!

Lil Grumpy - You are so kind. I noticed you signed in on the CB with your well wishes. This really is a nice group of people on the DIS.

You are turning into quite a storyteller. Doing a great job :thumbsup2

......it was neat to see how many caring people rally behind the
young girl & her mother. that would have been scary for any
parent..far from home and having to make tough decisons..
i was happy to hear her recovery. howver, the confidence her
mother had in seeking cb supporters was outstanding.....
these are the type of friends anyone would be lucky to have.
speaking of..i finally caught up on the cb....grammy- i'm so
sorry for having to cancel your dec. trip..and coping with such
a high stressor in life...if your "friends" are supporters than
they probably didn't realized they were adding to an already
stressful situation...you must project a very strong and caring
image that...they are depending on. obviously, your cancelled
wdw trip was alot more than what others can see...but having
someone standing besides us thru thick & thin...makes life
worth living...my prayers for your family.

f.y.i..yesterday i hit the wrong key..and it was gone...the whole
thing! i felt like the kid in a christmas story helping his dad changed
a flat...and the bolts flew off. dwats! then my kids are razzing me
for writing so much [great comforters,huh?]..they have no concept
in writing a "memior"..of course i could write an outline in a few
paragraphs but that would not express what we actually experience.
kids!....they must be taught..that for something to have real meanings,
they must include their feelings...even having fun. poof ... i think the
biggest disappointment from thosegoing to disney is the expectation
of having something magical happening...well if you don't participate!

almost forgot....while we were doing the "toy story" section..i noticed
the power rangers came back..to save the world..or pose for pics...
it almost impossible to "get" all 4/5 during one session..so here's
another one of those darn secrets...a family could "do" toystory or
shop [dreaded subject] and double-back to them ...luckily for us, we
"got" my daughter favorites ones. can you imagined? i'm still happy over
this... :bounce:

thank you grammy and all the others tolerating my technical diffculties.
..thisisn't as easy as i thought..i asked my wife about getting a new
keyboard...and she made it clear :furious: /not until our middle child
out the door [she mad at him for pounding the keys into a mess].
he,he,,fyi..the stories i told bout him are 100% true..and just a few
of the many....just last year..somehow-while cooking nachoes, blew
up the pyrex plate..now our vinyl floor has burnt marks all over it...
[and we have a upper-upper middleclasshome!] i not too happy..but
that'swhy i shared my stories..mel best keep an "extra" eye on her kids.
[ oh,my..i came home from work one am,and discovered him {6mos or
so}...smiling and lookin up at me...having one of his cradle rods in his
hand..that's right..taking his cradle apart..which explains today why
our 4wheeler isall apart. see why i :lmao: or i be crying.

and i think those sharing their trips by describing their feelings are
helping others to pull together..and the educational values result in
better trip planning............
so here we are..sorta together..cos who knows wht my 2 terrors are
doing??? but us 3 are at stars tours...and it is too dark! are they
trying to keep us from taking pics or movies? who are thes cruel
imagineers...probably the ones inside the control boths? laughing!

it's a maze of junk.it looks like lucas-man pretty smart..using disney
as his personal warehouse. what a shyster! it sort of smack you
in the face..all the starswars' leftovers and very tempting, to take
pics/movies. but see how those dwatters imagineers hindered you?
not only poor lighing but the was they did the walkway? if you stop
even for a few seconds, the whole hord can easily go around. and
then i noticed how we are walking up..hill..again! ha! when you get
out it is all bright and bared! that's to redirect you in the shop,
isn't it? sorry, it 's an answer i don't want to know. really! anyway,
the walkway zigs/zags back and forth overhead. in that way the
dwatters can concertrated the whole crowd into the smallest possible
of space...which means noiisy..alot of noise that works to disorient
your sense.. it like bees in the hive. all that buzzing got me thinking..
why... so they can stored more lucas-man stuff. how? they even
installed one of those assembly line where baskets of lucas's leftovers
are collecting? here'sa secret..having a lil flashlight allows you to peep
inside the baskets...in a pinch, your camera light would work. so where
have i seen these baskets before? oh, thecandystore at magic kingdom
and full of goodies....making noises to draw your attention and torment
the kids. next thing they're beggin..for daddy to spend $$$. why is
that so painful ..is going against my hobby? i'm too, a collector. since
my paperboys days, i developed a real interest in finding picture of
"old" presidents. and just so happened, one of the best place [though
not the easiest one] is on dirty, wrinkle paper. think $. so if anyone
has some just collecting dust, it be appricated if you send them my
way. oh,boy!i think me and mickey has the same hobby...and he getting
my best ones. lets''s ask him.....after all he is hanging around my neck.
oh, i forgot to mentioned that my daughter insisted he goes with us but
guess who does the packing? her mother?..ok grammy, you'll making us
all laugh! now i am looking around and my 2 girls are gone> panic???
the crowd is buzzing and they're not looking freindly.....then i hear the
paging...mr. tom morrow...first time in my many trips too....mr. tom
morrow....excuse me, but that's me, [well it could be] ..and i got alot
of ground to make up after taking 10secondsof movies. ok-line cutters.
ihave no problem with someone re-uniting after taking a few pics/movies.
i'll tell what i feel bout line cutters & the sorta issues.....enough,must
be next time or i am going to be late for work,,,,,like always!,,,,p.s.
i know most are yponger,,butjust because we're older dosen't mean we
forgotten,,,how to have fun,,strange as it may seen, this will be
illustrated,,,and even all the junk i talked about in the begining will
be connected,,,i promise :hippie: /grammy, hang in there, it is self
evident how special you are,,you're husband is a very lucky guy! :wave2:

....line cutters..i think there's a big difference between someone catching
up versus a "group" merging with someong holding a position. and it's pretty
evident when teenagers are "working" to jump ahead. observations skills
are useful in these situation...listening what they talking bout because
teenagers playing around like to bragg to each other...which can come back
to "haunt" them acting no speak-um english. it is bothersome
to hear them laughing at others because they think their gang will not be
challenged. i advised anyone to "wait" until catching up with a cm to
report it. confronting hoodlum/like behaviors has never been on my wife
plans. once the "hoodlums" were a bunch of professionals [they've been
drinking]..and went around us. they were even making fun of some younger
kids. of course, they denied cutting so the cm asked me to point'em
out. i walked right up to each one ..all seven. they were removed from the ride and escorted out of the park...oh,boy! they didn't expected that!

at the old character bus at epcot. dividing their family into each line then jumping ahead at the last moment..well the characters are only out for 20 minutes....no way! or we would have been skunked.

sooo when they paged mr.tom Morrow, i actually didn't used it to catch up.
for one thing, the group ahead didn't look like they had a sense of humor.
or maybe because it was so dark to "read" people? however, i was ahead of
these guys just a few seconds ago...ahhh a dilemma, so exactly how does
one find their missing family in quel space dark as dangeon? start screaming
would probably be ok for those under 10 but me?..heck, i still like to keep
a lil dignity.....what to do? well, in doubt let's ask mickey! oh,boy! he knows
everything [except anything to do with saving money] !....what that's mickey? here's a secret....enough! let's hope those baskets don't have
the leftover bolts that were supposed to have held the ride together or
there won't be another next time. :hippie:

ok...no more surfing, hanging 10,5,or even 2 if i'm going to get
this done! however, do you ever feel like your're talking to yourself
on here? well as long as you don't start answering..enough!

where was i..leftover ride parts? naw, they wouldn't do that with
all the lawyers i seen on here going to disney? right Zzzzzub?

so now where are we? mgm. stars wars? nope that come later
between me & my sweetum'. instead i/m in the belly of stars tours
[hey where the stars..luke,harrison or the lil princess...who a carrier
of the death star secret? [still sounding like my wife, ironic -huh?
and closer to my age than anybody on here? . ok, that
jogged the old synapses into "motion". [back in my days known as
a whole alot of shakin , transformed into a whole alot of love]. your
head ever felt like lead..zepplin? ......

if you ever want to go back in time..see my garage-tons of blacklight
poster, fish nets, and sea shells chandliers.

ok..here's the secret from pal mickey when your lost inside an alien belly.
you squeeze "his" and listen..excuse me that's my little girl up ahead
waiting for her pal mickey. even with all the buzzin ,she knew it was her
pal mickey that was talking....and as soon as i squeezed, she started
hollerin for him....yahoo/hoo bunny! there's she is! so i won't be lost
forever but...i'm greeted by my wife.."where've you been?!" right behind
you ..which was technical corect! now here we go again..lookin at all
the baskets that still over head. here' a idea..free souvineers! that's
would get rid alot of lucas-man junk. and what a promotion it would
be. f-r-e-e..isn't that the thing we all wishing for at disney?? but
how to git the baskets stuff out? let's ask our dear old pal...mickey!
so i re-catched up with my family and grabbed pal mickey from daughter.
what!!! he only reminding us not to missed the "gift" shop...as if anyone
could? now that the "chicken" exit i like to discover for all the rides!
anything free, mickey? [remember the old 8 ball?]..no ,but here's a joke..
pal mickey my beap! it's scroodge in a mickey outfit! and why we are
dis-"cussing" ,,,,legally shouldn't we being gittin something for them
to claim they're operating a "gift" shop? oh,boy! caught mickey in
a shopper's cork...ok fork over the free stickers...i know not to expect
free pics of dead presidents...after all we're in disneyworld! there's go my
beautiful collection.

lil by lil we are finally gittin closer...to the preshow. these staging areas
are long as football field. and there's still baskets overhead. "loaded"
with old lucas-man fluxcapacities? how to git them is still on my mind.
then the light bulb goes off..we could use our laynards to fish out the
f-r-e-e souvineers. oh,boy! wouldn't that be fun...and useful for
getting rid of the junkyard? and when they finally run out in about 10
years, they could then modify the baskets for guests.

wow, what a ride! and the feelings it gave...enough for sure. it's time
to finish it off by getting the pic under the atat's giant paw/paw! :hippie:

You gave me my laugh for the day!! :thumbsup2

You sure write a mean trip report!!

....well now we all know why my wife feels like any time,
disney security is going to show up and haul her sweetie
away! [eyeing f-r-e-e souvineers in the basket],,,here's a
secret though my wife asked not to reveal it....oh,boy!
[u know it gotta real meanings now!]....and this also
explained why it was left out....any which way u can think of
...it just so happened i ended up beside some forgeiner
"line cutters". worst teenagers makin fun..well 2 can play that
game!.....and of course iam always loking to entertain myself...
[being somewhat contary per wifeypoo's observations].........
hey, guys?wants here one of disney best kept secret? huh?
& all in course-what that tell u no nglish? psst..f-r-e-e sounviners
..in the baskets. you guys got a laynard? no?..well use my ..
what are freinds for?..and they say disney security never around?
he,he,he, go directly to jail..no'umpassing go...unless git out
of jail f-r-e-e :rolleyes1 ..yep, i just  disney -s/q-u-e-l-l-y
areas & all the entainmnet values to be had!...

women..guys pont of view....if we are paying out the "ears",then
you need to suggest all the fun things they can git into....that
can eased the pain! if you think guys don't pay of attention, or nuthing
caninterst them..your already doom "gtiititng" them involved...ok?
one example...it's florida! alot of girls[over 18 type]/women will
be displaying..hmmp...their melons[don'y blame me..for what one
of your leaders noted!]...talking up fresh produce will make your
"drahggin his feet" companion's pulse quiver....[ or other body parts-
eyes]. so many here braggg how they really know guys but then
all i see ..dropping the ball....not once! not even the hint of! have i
seen one girl/lady id to their souses how "excitied" they'll be at disney
world???? it's sad that more family are not together at the world..
enjoying themselves....if nuthing else my report is an illustration on
how much guys are paying attention. this is why i tried to prepare
anyone reading from the beginin...i 'm not into organizing or
doing a proper prsentation..instead i'm concerting on what i remember
& the things giitting my attention[ idon't have the time for corrections
and organizing]...i have no idea what iam going to write until sitting
down...lthis included. theother message....we all know what at wdw..
heck any guide will tell you that! the real joy is reading how you all
are "doing" & the experiences...if anything makin sense..i hope this does!

...ok, snow white..ha! you must've been one of the first here to have
gotten that classic name?...fyi..everytime i read/hear her name ...
i'm thinking of her voice..timeless. always will be! hey we got minney
in the same nnsshp outfit!..but where your lil prince?

someone need to throw another log on the fire..i'ving to wear my
blue jean jacket at the keyboard....

the first version at stars tours [isn't that misleading..since99 we have
never seen any there]...was wiped out. sit is easy to recall the ride
and what i was doing/thinking but some things were droppped. since i
making my living observing..this is naturally thing for me to be doing...
and disney provided alot of material...

however, on friday...early morning..ker-boom! thunder roaring & lightin
cracked. it was suppose to have been easter vac..day off/sleep in..
noooo-its 4am...and here comes my daughter bouncing in/flashlight &
all! she looking for comfort..that's me! why? mentioned this....because
they really do grow up too fast..it was just yesterday my oldest was
gititng ready for first day of school..and our second/terror had too
helped more than we needed..water was everywhere. when we took
them to disney inthe 80's was much different[no planing other than
to go!] ..but also the same [having some disney fun]. we waited forever
on things we would'nt today..the submarines/bucket rides..and of course
those old fumigator cars. our movies were on 8mm..instead of discs..
maybe i'm in the minority but a tr without feelings is boring.

ok..we're out there in 2shakes..mickey -to-him-gift shop. wonder why?
well if you/ve been paying attention..gotta find the nearest bathroom..
sorry about the under the atat's paw pic..i think it was taken as we
went in. tyher's a rope but since i saw sammy doing it, i was able to
convience my wife. oh,boy!! this is where we csn run into some dis-cuss'
-ions. she is one of these person that go by all the rules even if everyone
else isignoring them. i swear [my personal belief]....she only does it to
drives me nuts...and it does! here' s one of my best kept secret..i only
buy the mugs once...yes dear..all they had was dcl mugs at the cornado
gift shop..strange isn't it?? oh,well--"what are we going to do?? today!..
but it isn't funny when we git back home and a cornado mug re-appears
out of no where...ok? i don't care how much money i make [totally
irrevlant]..i completely understand the "behind the back" references made
by mr.Zzub!! here's a secret that most guys are in denial..we're great
shoppers! you know that designer/blue jean jacket..i have on now?
i got several years ago for $3.99..several of them! just recntly got $55
dockers ..for $2.99...wish my wife paid more attention to my shoppin
habits..i could be driving that 66'mustang! by the way, ladies..guys love
the free stuff!! that's my collection & what i'm wishing for! i cringes at the
$$$$ when my wifey poo starts with all theother kids......ther's always
seem to be one whimpy father that starts this terrible dymino effects.
dwats! that the guy i like to push over the malestormer's falls so the
troll could do his "thing"!

so after the bathroom break..alli can remember sitting down at the indy
show...holding my billfold tight and putting our rollin trunk in a seat.
oh..you'll know it ours..it has tinkerbell /stich laynard hanging and some
of the dwarfs from..snowwhite...mcd's keychange type. then there
jordan's pal mickey, and her miss piggy...dwats, i read your all postin
my geek [sounds better than nerdy] husband thread.. laughing and
carrin on..shame on you girls!....you sounded like my wife..well let
se you all be cool with all this junk?? enough..i need to remind my
wife what's important to my disney trips...and it is! :hippie:/ :clown:

...see ? i know how to work it..disney is all about havin some fun!
and there isn't no single plan but getting everyone involve will
produce [ for the sake of melon/girl on thecb]...all kind of memories.
ladies if you haven't learn what guys really like by now...a lil flashlight
and lil redirectin....he'll be in heaven stud-ing all the star wars junk
riding in the baskets. also i'll bet they probably banned tim allen from
wanting to "tinkered" with...i mean there were mechanical parts laying
all over the place...instead of legos..they should have left some at
the end of the ride for the fellas to mess 'round...leaving their wives
f-r-e-e to shop. imagine that! but if you pull a lil flashlight out your
purse...most likely your husband will thank you later ..maybe a lil
heaven? [no not stupid chocolate!] see? your're creating your own
disney magic! and that shouldn't be a secret!

if there was a "work shop" for guys, this would've been the place
for it...i think i like to build a robot with melons..so i could have
my fruit and eat it too? then i make a dedication plaque to the
dis.."melon girl" for when she returned. ha! place a hidden camers &
sure to have a f-h-v = $1000,000 winner. ok, i'll shared the loot.
but to make my robot "work" would required alot of complaince. lots.
see, to be orginal...

i could be famous...really, i could! everyone knows "stars wars"?
nothing compare to me & my wife.... real life "junk wars", "revenge of
the closet master", and finally..the "return of the vanity fairy". an
ongoing sage to this very day! fyi..it takes 1/2 hr just to remove
all the stuff on top of our vanity...anything i lay down on it disappear
...forever! whatever, that junk is..beyond mortal man to figure out.
and she got the nerve to complain about my tool bench..things that
have real purpose! and in all that junk [that never seem to move],if by
chance i do touch something..she knows it! how? but actually, i'm
afraid of most of it...who knows when it may transform you?

anyway, with a few adjustments, stars tours could be made into
a paradise for the husbands. i could see many building their own
land rover...with all kind of hood oranments...maybe some with
melons parts?? moving up & down ..like the baskets...........
that'll keep the guys' hands & eyes full / then there's test tract
over in epcot...enough! i'm daydreaming...again.

however, the point is..disney has alot of mechanical displays to
occuply a guy's interest..if you're needing selling points.

while some of this was realized by reading on the cb postings, the
stars tours' baskets were still on mind during the indiana jones'
preshow. sometimes you have to wait & why not "re-live" the
good things. and here, is where we get into debates..repeating
some rides. my wife has her schedule and it isn't to be mess with.
[current,past, & future]
but if you've been paying any attention...i sorta like- not listening.
i need to learn how to "figure" in the timetables on how to
judge her shopping & bathroom "trips" with repeating some of the rides.
the problem is in the variant of constant changing...her mind!

ok..what i like the indy show?..is the stadium is in the shade. though
it is facing the same direction as lma...must be the design. and though
it is the first time since '99..it is worth repeating. the sets matches the
story and the props are pretty cool. once it gets going, it progresses
into alot of action. the only thing,we missed the exit props...some kind
of talking well per one of the guides. something i had written down &
in the pocket, but never pulled out until we're back in the room. dwats,
i'm not even good at following a plan. and that's why my wifeypoo is
giving me lots of directions.....enough..today plan is all bout getting
"thru" the dentist. :crazy2: :faint:

:thumbsup2

Lovein' the report grumpy!

They do grow up too fast, don't they. My youngest still runs for our room every time it storms. I secretly hope she never stops, but I know she will some day
