Hi all, I am taking an informal poll, just for my own sake, lol. I would like to know, Are you brand loyal? Do you have your favorite trusted tried and true brands that you always buy? Or, do you just buy whatever is on hand at the store you go to ? Or maybe do you buy things only if they are on sale?

This is just for me, not really important at all, but humor me if you will ;)

I have recently moved, and I have realized that I am pretty brand loyal. I am completely aggravated that I can't find some of my normal brands and things I like to buy. I literally spend way too much time at the store trying to figure out what to buy when I need a particular item and find that they don't have my brand.

Thanks guys.

Kim

For many things yes. There are others I don't care one way or the other about.

Absolutely I am too. Peter Pan Peanut Butter or none. I was having withdrawals when it was off the market for awhile. Most items I am selective there is however a few I do not care about and will buy on sale but not many.

Yes, I am a brand-*****...I like what I like, but I try to use coupons or buy on sale. To me to buy something off brand and not like it and thereby throwing it away kills me and is wasteful, so I just get what I like and use it up.

I am going to have that problem too when we move to the midwest - mainly with bread :)

I'm not brand loyal but I would probably not buy store brands for most things. I do buy store brand half n half for my coffee because it is as good as the big brands.

You need an "other" option.

For some things I am very brand loyal. Tide laundry detergent is one. I will not use any thing else. but cereal, what ever is cheaper.

I am brand loyal for certain items such as Tide, Dove Sensitive Skin Soap and a few others. I don't buy many canned items and frozen veggies I like Trader Joe's items but will purchase others if in a pinch.

Sorry, I should have known, there is always another option out there, lol!!

I agree, I am brand loyal but on some things, I don't budge. I buy the same laundry stuff, the same TP and most food items, but I will try new things once in a while, but a few things I will buy whatever is on sale, like trash bags for instance.

I just moved to VA and found out about Trader Joe's- I really love everything I have gotten from there.

Exactly!!!

It is Heinz Ketchup or nothing!!!!

Same here, only Heinz ketchup and Hellman's mayo- I am wierd about it. it is the only mayo I like so it is all I buy. My Mil uses Blue plate mayo- eww

I am a little irritated that I can't find some of my usual brands now that I've moved.

I'm brand loyal. If my #1 grocery store doesn't have what I want, I go to my #2 store for it, rather than substitute. This is true for most things I buy, but not all.

Yes and No. Tide Free or All Free and Clear Laundry detergent, Lea and perrins worchestershire sauce, Heinz ketsup, Hellmans mayonaise, Cottonelle toilet paper, Trader Joe's salsa, Dove deodorant, DHS shampoo. I've tried to switch and so far I've found no acceptable substitutes. I take these things on vacation with me, seriously. Otherwise, I'm good with whatever I can find.

Me too, which is a pain in the butt sometimes. But, up here, I have not been able to find a bunch of things I'm used to having. :(

I couldn't vote - no option for me.

I am brand loyal to some things, but I'd say mostly I'm not.

I am a store brand gal, all the way! There are only a couple store brand items I've tried and didn't like- spaghetti sauce and salsa come to mind. Other than those, I buy store brands whenever possible to save $$. I like the Wal Mart brand fruit snacks, taco seasoning packets, and Italian dressing better than the big national brands.

I am not brand loyal at all.

That said, my husband will only eat Jif peanut butter (creamy) and will only wipe his butt with Northern. The hissy fits that have happened when I bought the wrong thing over the years are legendary. He now is in charge of stocking his own TP--twice a year he goes to Costco and buys a couple of giant packs and stores them in the basement. I've often wondered how he survives at the office? :rotfl2:

too funny. I don't know how most office's just buy whatever's cheap on the tp.
