I have been following this post since last week and also decided to email my concern to Disney. We normally travel every 2-3 years, as we travel from Canada, and are unable to visit more frequently, so an Annual Pass is not an option. Below is my email and the response I received. Maybe there's hope although, the email is still very vague.
Good Morning,
I am in the process of trying to plan my next trip to
Disneyland Resort
and it has come to my attention that 5-day park hoppers are the longest
length of park hopper ticket now available. After some more research, I
also discovered it is no longer possible to add days on to the tickets
at the park. I am very disappointed to hear of this as it will
definitely change our vacation plans. We live quite far from Disneyland
so only are able to visit every 2-3 years, but when we come we try to
maximize our length of stay and visit for minimum 7 days with a group of
4-15 people each time we come. If we are unable to stay for that length
of time, we will likely consider other vacation options in the future.
Even though Walt Disney World is a longer flight, the cost isn't that
much more, and the 7-14 day ticket options much better meet our desire
to be immersed in the Disney experience for our vacation versus having
to look at spending alternate days at other venues while in California.
Thank you for your time and I do hope you consider making longer ticket
options available once again, even with signatures, photos or ID
required to prevent fraud, so we can enjoy the parks again at a
leisurely pace and not miss a minute at the parks.
