I used to be very interested in astrology, now not so much. but anyway...do you think your sign matches you?

I'm a Gemini, and though I don't believe in astrology anymore, I'm a pretty good example of a Gemini (intellectual, many interests, etc.) Maybe even two personalities, but they are both good .

Does your sign match you, or is it all wrong?

I've never been into astrology, but I'm a Capricorn. If the typical Capricorn is independent, stubborn, an introvert and ambitious, then yes that would fit me to a "T."

I fit many of them, except the communicative parts (I'm very quiet).

We have several Aries in the family who fit their profiles to a T!

Is there an official birthday thing for those?? Mine falls on the cutoff (May 21) and one newspaper says Gemini, the other says the one before that.. the name slips me.

According to the things I've read, I don't fit into my sign. I was born 33 days after my due date though, so maybe that has something to do with it. I was born in the Chinese Year of the Rabbit and those traits do fit me.

I don't discount Astrology. My DH and a former boyfriend have the same birthday and they are so much alike it's scary.

I have a Psych degree, and in college, for my Social Psych class, I conducted an experiment where I had a stack of papers, all that said the exact same thing, except that one was labeled "General Description" and the rest were labeled with each of the zodiac signs.

To 50% of my subjects, I gave them the "general" one and asked them how much it described them. To the other 50%, I gave the one for their sign, and asked the same thing.

The results: The people that knew it was a general description, about 10% said it described them. Those that thought it was their astrological sign, about 80% said it did.

The conclusion: You just think it describes you because supposedly it is of your "sign". In the astrology group, they thought it was a description of them, so most people read that it is.

Do I believe in astrology. NO. Do I think some "descriptions" could be a match. Possibly, but it has nothing to do with when I was born.

There obviously aren't 12 personality types in the world. Some of these signs fight with each other, and some elements of a sign might beat out elements of another. It's not as simple as just being a GEmini.
