I'm with you, Poly Princess! I'm barefoot as often as possible, or in my sandals otherwise. Hate socks, but I love buying shoes! Of course, most of my shoes tend to be of the black sandal variety, which cracks up DF to no end. One time he actually made me line up all my black sandals and point out why I felt I needed another pair.

"But honey," I said, my eyelashing batting, "you don't understand! See, these have beads on the strap, those have an ankle strap, the ones over there are just slip ons ... "

Needless to say, if there's a Payless in a 3 mile radius from where we are (the best place to find sandals for gals with "bigger feet", IMHO), DF knows to keep me far, far away!

I hate socks!!

I hate the feeling of socks rubbing on rug as you walk (I sorta get the same feeling people have when someone runs their finger nails across a blackboard), I hate the feeling of the seams on my toes, (so I ususally wear the socks inside out so I do not feel the ridge), I hate baagy socks, and will only wear anklets.

The next thing we need is a Anit-Hose league, those united in disdain for those awful garmets called panty hose. An awful creation, marketed to women as a means of looking tan and a means to keep those bumps and bulges to a minimum. I say bull, they are hot and confining, and hideous. Thanks god hoseless is in!!!

Wow..a anti-sock thread...
I only wear shoes when I have to....
I even run out to get the mail in the winter(with snow on the ground) with no socks/shoes on...

I only put sandals on to drive...

I'm both anti-sock and sock challenged. During the warmer months March - Oct I mainly wear sandals. The cooler months are the hardest... I can't match socks to save my life. About 2 years ago I was given 30 pairs of cutesy socks... you know the kind with the little dogs, clouds, flogs, stripes, ect on them. Well, after the first washing I didn't pair them up right away... so it didn't take long for me to show up at work wearing 1 cat sock and 1 frog sock. My office admin used to keep a triple pack of new socks in her drawer just in case I had a metting and my socks didn't match.

Oh.. I always drive barefoot. I will refuse to drive if I can't take my shoes off.
