Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

I guess that I'm more optimist than pessimist.
 

I've definitely always been a pessimist. My friends and I always use the phrase "expect the worst and you'll never be disappointed." That way if the worst happens, you were expecting it so it can't be that bad, and if the worst doesn't happen, then that makes it all the better! I can be optimistic sometimes though when I want to be.
 
It depends on my mood, Kelli. I tend towards optimism, though :)

I wish I were always an optimist. I makes life easier to live with. Less stress if you're not thinking the worst will happen. Stephen read this thread last night, and said he's a realist, not a pessimist. But I disagree. His problem is that reality always turns out bad. That makes him a pessimist.
