ARe you a super frugal grocery shopper? Please give me tips!!!

I cook, but the amount of scratch cooking, baking, and stock making you are doing would take me much longer to do than what I am doing now. WE do a lot of grilling and most of the veggies are canned or steam in the microwarve. We walk in the door anywhere form 6:30-7:00, depending on what activities we have after school, and right now iti s at leasst 100:00 before I can breathe at all between cooking, cleaning up, and trying to keep up with bathrooms, laundy, and picking up.

I know you were responding to someone else, but thought I'd chime in. I only cook during the week meals that can be done in 20-25 minutes from start to finish, many take only 15 minutes. I have a menu of about 4 weeks of different meals that fit that bill for us. I just rotate them through. They aren't always fancy, but they are tasty and healthy. It takes time to build up your meal repertoire, but it can be done. (And I am not a huge fan of crock potting, the only thing I make in that is chili )

For the record, I am a single, working Mom. For me at least, cooking at home doesn't really takes any more time than eating out or ordering take out, but it does take a bit more effort. But not a whole lot. And the payoff - both financially and healthwise - is worth it to me.
