Wow! As it stands now, about 50% of us are going to burn in hell!

Not me of course (not because I'm so honest, but more importantly because I'd be humiliated if I got caught!

I bring mine back and then forget I have it with me. :sad2:

Leave it IN the room! I usually bring my own soda from home, and use it IN the room. :confused3

I'm not a big time abuser, but I have shared a drink or two with companions. But since they were kids, and only day visitors while I was at the resort for a few days by myself, I did it. And I did truly share--they would have about half, I would drink the other half.

But how would you get caught? Mine does not have a bar code; I haven't seen any on the new ones and the design is still the same. We use ours for seltzer water when we are at the pool all day to avoid dehydration from all the beer we have in our cooler.

Coolers at the pool - new topic. :teeth:

We purchased one mug for the both of us and took it back for repeat visits to the same resort.

I guess we're going to hell and back.

I have probably a dozen mugs from various resorts, and they are my most useful souvenirs. I drink out of them every day at home because they keep my water cold and my cats out of it :cat: :cat:. Plus they remind me of being at WDW.

As for reusing? Normally I buy new ones. But I have several POR/FQ mugs and have resused them a time or two. But I have a "good" excuse. They are all the same color!! They offer the "fat" and "skinny" models, but all the mugs at Port Orleans for the last couple of years have been purple :confused3. It makes buying a new mug a lot less appealing if it looks exactly like multiple mugs I already own.

But now that the mugs are clearly marked with "Free refills until the end of your stay", I will not do that anymore. And I have NEVER used a mug at any resort that is from a different resort, park, kitchen cabinet, etc.

Count me in as having a ticket on the express elevator down...and save a toasty hot seat for me. The last time I went was the first time I ever reused a mug. I admit, it gave me a thrill every time I refilled it.

My paranoia has no real reason! I'm a little nuts, if you haven't noticed!

Where is it written that we cannot bring a mug back to be refilled? Granted the two times we have stayed on property, we have been at different resorts - so that did us no good. Besides, if you we to pack it, then you are loosing valuable space for all of those Disney souvenirs that you want to bring back!

Not sure what we would do the next time on vacation there. But refillables are definitely in order when you are staying there - especially if it is hot out and you need to stay hydrated!

The Pop Century mug I bought in December has printed on it
"Free unlimited refills from our beverage islands during the stay in which the mug was purchased."

I bought CBR mugs in January and POR/FQ mugs in April, and both have printed on them
"Free refills until the end of your stay. Refills only at location purchased."

People might come up with creative definitions of "your stay", but it is pretty obvious that what is printed on the mugs means they are for the current trip only.

I always buy new mugs. One might call it a new mug purchasing addiction. :teeth:

I wish Disney would change each resort’s mug design every year. To catch the “mug law breakers?” Nope, just so I could get a larger collection. LOL!

hi all,
when i was a kid we had a pug that was abused before we got him,he was a great dog!and only once i was about 10 and running thru the house and i did'nt see him and by accident a kicked him.i did'nt hurt him.it was a accident.so no i am not a pug abuser. oh mug abuser. nevermind, sorry. :teeth:

When we bought our mugs we were told they were good forever so we always bring them back with us to use I am just doing something I was told I could.

I never have, but we are staying at CSR in November and I already have 2 CSR mugs. If the design is the same I'll use it and just buy a new one for DS. I have more than 10 mugs and don't need any more.

Didn't Disney go to some type of bar-coding a few years back to prevent returns on subsequent trips? I thought I had read that.

Some time after that, I read they were going to a bar-code. Any correctness to that, the bar-code?

Sounds like an urban myth.

This kind of cracked me up, though. What would happen if someone without a bar-coded mug would use theirs? Would sirens go off? :rotfl: We bought mugs this past December, and I don't recall a barcode on them. If I have room to pack them for our next trip to All Stars (whenever that is), they're coming with. Otherwise, they're staying home.
