I think I've entered the stage of WDW planning also known as the "I've-been-looking-forward-to-Disney-for-months-I-made-all-the-ADRs-and-FPs-but-now-that-I-have-nothing-to-do-but-sit-back-and-enjoy-waiting-for-my-vacation-sooooooo-I'm-second-all-my-plans-and-every-reservation-I've-made-jitters". (Thats a real thing.....right guys?o_O)

Important Stuff:
2 Adults, staying 9.17-9.26 at WL with PH Tix. He does not do heat well and I tore my Achilles in February, so I'm trying to keep my natural Tigger in check by planning a slightly slower touring pace than my usual (race car) speed. We plan on using Disney transport, but have no compunction about grabbing an Uber, especially with heat and a sore Achilles.

9.17:
Arrive at MCO 9:15, eta WDW 11:15
Pending Weather- hop to MK, swipe bands, add day, add water parks. Take Uber to water parks, be bums.
7:30 Artists Point

9.18:
8:20 BOG (mostly to take advantage of photos and fewer spectators during excessive excited sobbing when I see the castle)
11:40 FP opens for BTMR
1:25 FP opens for Peter Pan
2:40 FP opens for 7DMT
Boat back to WL to cool down/tidy up
Hop to Epcot
6:40 Rose and Crown (his request)

9.19:
AK at RD (Safari, Everest, and making a mess of myself at Flame Tree are all on the docket)
Back to WL to power wash BBQ sauce off my face and power nap
MK for PM EMH- I made FP+ here since I know crowds are going to be denser at this park, but are these too early?
4:25 FP opens for Space
5:35 FP opens for BTMR
6:45 FP opens for 7DMT
8:20 BOG (I know, I know, again...but honestly none of the other TS restaurants in MK appeal all that much to me, and there is something so much more relaxing and refreshing about a TS meal)
Enjoy our late night at MK

9.20:
Sleep in a bit, then MK
12:05 FP opens 7DMT
1:00 FP opens Splash
(Lunch if we haven't eaten and FOF Parade)
4:15 FP opens Space
Hop to Epcot
7:30 Biergarten

9.21:
Epcot RD (Soarn' first thing, single rider line for Test Track, and WS)
Lunch in WS
Post lunch naps at WL
Hop to DHS for PM EMH- again, I made FP+ here since I know crowds are going to be denser at this park, but are these too early?
4:30 FP opens TOT
5:50 FP opens TSMM
6:55 FP opens Star Tours
7:50 Beaches and Cream
Plan is to head back to DHS enjoy the shops in the evening, maybe grab an extra ride on Star Tours and TSMM right before park close, but maybe this is crazy? Reports of DHS have not been good as of late.

9.22:
7:45 Boma (We stayed at AKL last time and the thought of Boma makes me drool- Zebra Domes are now acceptable breakfast food, and totally nutritionally sound...:rolleyes1plan to Uber, I have no burning desire to fuss with Disney transport when going resort to resort)
9:00 FP opens Safari
10:55 FP opens Everest
12:15 FP opens Kali
WL for serious nap time
Hop to MK for MNSSHP

9.23:
I have the most hesitation about this day. I know sleeping in is good (cranky, sleep deprived adults=bad), I love Star Tours, he loves TSMM, and we both love Jinko. Are we going to have time to enjoy a second park that day?
Sleep. In. then DHS
11:05 FP opens Star Tours
12:05 FP opens TOT
1:00 Brown Derby
2:00 FP opens TSMM
Hop to Epcot or MK for afternoon?
7:45 Jinko

9.24:
Epcot RD (Test Track, any bits of future world we haven't hit over the evenings)
10:25 FP opens Soarin'
11:25 FP opens Mission Space
12:25 FP opens Spaceship Earth
Soft Opening of F&W- eat ourselves silly
Hop, or rather roll ourselves out to MK for Wishes that PM (WL is so close to MK, I feel like we should take advantage)

9.25:
MK RD
10:30 FP opens Space
11:40 FP opens BTMR
1:40 FP opens 7DMT
9:00 Narcoossee's (hoping to nab a slightly earlier time)

9.26:
Grab brunch somewhere before departure. Maybe Ohana or another MK resort? Suggestions?
Then cry. Alot.

Thoughts? Is this a good plan or a bad plan?

Arrival Day: You can add water park to your tickets at the water park. There's no reason to go to MK to do it unless you'll actually be entering MK. It's unclear from your post.

The thing that stood out to me is the numerous FP+ for mine train. Have you been on it yet? IMO, it's really not a ride over and over and over ride unless you're 6. My husband and I each rode it once and said "That'll do until we have kids who ask." I would see if you could make your FP on the AK day later in the evening and leave it at that. We rode at night and that does add something to it we think.

Since you have multiple FP for mountains, I would look into parade and/or fireworks FP. We really enjoy the parade FPs and we also like the fireworks one, but the fireworks are off center. The other thing I would do is consider FP for Haunted Mansion, Pirates and some of the other non E-tickets that easily get above 30 minutes.

I would NOT rope drop the day of MNSSHP. There are so many special characters and shows that we were running all over the park. We used our park day at MK and got there right after lunch time. It seems like a waste, but it's not any less park time than you will be spending at AK likely. Plus, you will be more relaxed.

For the day after MNSSHP, I would go back to the water park since you already paid for it. Then I would do whatever park at night. The rides y'all like at DHS are nice to repeat ride and you can see Fantasmic!

I think you're doing a lot of hopping, we find it exhausting to hop to a park for just fireworks. We've done it before, but it takes a lot out of you for not a lot of reward.

I would do boma on departure day. You guys already know you enjoy it and it's a cheap for Disney buffet. Fill up before your travels.

As far as the FP+ goes for 7DMT, I would not change or cancel them. With my trip last year, mine train was down a fair bit of two days of my trip, and if I didn't have it booked 3x, I would have not been able to ride it without a huge wait. I got to ride the last day of my trip, finally. So, I would keep it. You could always modify it for something else if you ride it once and think, meh. But it's not something you're going to get day of, and there are plenty of things you can change it to day of, if you decide once was enough.

Hey Hey Hey!! We will be fellow travelers, my dates are very close to yours! (15-22), here's to us having PERFECT weather, lowest crowds in history, and 2 min waits on every ride! pixiedust:

Your plans look awesome! The only thing I notice is that you will likely be pretty worn out from hopping all around; it would be one thing if you could just blow off a park-hop plan here or there if you felt a bit tired that particular moment, but your ADRs more or less commit you to hop, so that's one thing to think about. Otherwise, have a great trip! :flower1:

If the walking gets to be to much you can always rent a scooter. I had to rent one last year due to gigantic blisters on the bottom of my feet from walking in wet flip flops. I only rented one in the park as I didn't want to deal with on and off the buses. It was annoying but so worth it as I didn't have to walk in pain. I'm also in the stage of rethinking all of my plans. I posted a thread about it and had people tell me I had OCD and a lot more no so nice comments. We've been many times but still second guess our plans.

That is a crazy packed trip!! I mean that in a nice way, but also funny that this is you "taking it slow" LOL!!! I can not believe the amount of SDMT FPs you got!! Lucky, lucky girl!! I don't have any expert advice to add but wanted to say I so get the second-guessing all the plans!!! Three more weeks of doing just that right here. Hope your trip is magical.

:thanks:

yeah- we are very energetic (borderline adrenaline junkies), so i know slow for us can look insane from the outside :P. i've been really lucky, i've had no issues getting FPs or ADRs as i've been planning. i also think going to disney is awesome, and even the idea of having something that helps lower the wait on a ride (be it FP or FP+ or whatever) is just so super fantastic, that i'm already pleased as punch, and generally it means i care less about the exact time.

cheers to that! i hope you have an awesome trip as well!:sunny:

yup, wheelchair is absolutely on the list as an option! giving my tendon some recovery time is totally worth it. and i'm so glad i'm not the only one who goes through this "did i plan right?" back and forth uncertainty.:yo-yo:

the juggling for arrival to add water parks is a cost thing, its the cheapest way to get the water parks since we already purchased ut ph tix. that way if the weather sucks, we can just stay in, do dtd, etc...if the weather is awesome, we can add water parks for a low cost.

i love the idea of doing the water park the day after MNSSHP. if we end up doing the water park ticket, that's going to be my plan for the day! thank you!

absolutely hear you on park hopping and since you weren't the only one to mention this, i really tried to walk through the logistics for us. i think since we live in the city, and public transit is our daily commute to everything, we are kind of inoculated to the idea of waiting for transit, and then sitting or standing on a bus or train for 45min to get somewhere. it doesn't feel out of the ordinary at all, and i think it contributes to our willingness to park hop. but you've got a point, and i need to start thinking of those night time hops as maybes, if we are up for it, great, and if not, go to sleep! it is vacation after all :D

You could always modify it for something else if you ride it once and think, meh. But it's not something you're going to get day of, and there are plenty of things you can change it to day of, if you decide once was enough.

how did you know my secret plan?!:p okay it wasn't actually that secret because it was totally a tip a i picked up on these boards.
