DH has the red shirt on, walking up toward the woods

See, nothing like Judi's firemen.
Might I say two of these firemen came out of the wood
and took a ciggy break
which just seems absurd to me

I KNOW!

The woods goes back pretty far
several acres

the firemen said they could see the smoke at the firestation
which is several miles from us


they were impressed that we had enough hose
(ours is that thin green one)
to get to the woods

ummm this may have happened before...


They had really cool packs that held water
and a pressured hose that
they wore on their backs.

I am going to look into buying DH one of those!

My daffodils and tulips are blooming
and those are rhodendren bushes you see

the trees with white are pear
spring is such a pretty time here!

They are very pretty bushes.
We have bushes over here but the just have plain green leaves.

You are lucky that you can tell the seasons over there. Over here the seem to blend all into one.

I love the spring colors
then we have a lot of nice color for summer too
and fall is beautiful when the leaves turn

I can't get used to the grass in Texas and Florida

ours is like a carpet
when we go to Florida
it is not really the kind you want to walk on barefoot
very different from ours


now winter,
the snow can be pretty
but the trees look barren
and the grass turns brown
and the leaves that fell in red orange and green
turn brown and black

I have to go outside
and watch the pool a bit
some neighbors have just arrived to swim

kids will swim
adults will margarita!
