today is the day that we take on MGM translated into Mom's Gone Mad with those blasted FP's. we arrived at the park by 9am and headed straight for RRRC thinking to get FP's and then possibly ride first in the standby line which already had a good 50 min. wait. forget that and on to the great movie ride which we practically walked right on. when we get off we still have a few mins. to spare and this is where i decide we need FP's for WWTBAM, seemed simple enough to me. our window to obtain another FP was in 10 mins so why not get one? son and daughter say we probably don't need one this early and a very nice and very patient CM takes their side but being the crazed FP seeker that i've become i say yes we do. daughter glares at me and i could read her mind about the 3 of us on the boat ride in the land from the day before in epcot. our window to ride RRRC is nearing the end, we have to go, but not without my FP. CM, son, and daughter very nicely speak thru clenched teeth all the while trying to stay polite edge me on without the blasted FP. (remember, i did admit in the begining of these reports that i am VERY much FP challenged and i meant it) so i have a FP melt down and proceed off to ride RRRC. son now gets the quilts and races back for FP's and when he catches back up with us said the nice CM knew he'd be back. i get "the look" from him and my daughter. i give the sweet and innocent look back. after RRRC we head back over to WWTBAM and there are lots of other FP commrades already there. i just smiled. as we were going in to be seated i got seperated from son and daughter(was this intentional?? gasp!) and when i found them our nice and patient CM was seating them and i could hear him asking where's your mother, when he saw me he waved and yelled "over here mom". what a nice guy. after all that FP anxiety i deceided to call it quits and just stand in a line, it seemed a lot more family friendly that way. i guess FP's have their advantages, i like when we have them you can get on a ride faster but i feel having to get them rearranges the way you want to do a park. also why on earth is a FP needed for attractions like indianna jones or philermagic where the seating is a plenty??? give me a good old fashion line and the key word here is "old" since i'm old school. around 1pm we had PS for prime time cafe( thought i wouldn't notice that a PS really is a FP in another catagory) this place is great. my son got scolded for not knowing what color the soap was in the bathroom which meant he hadn't washed his hands before coming to lunch and my daughter had to stand in the center of the room and sing "i'm a little teapot" because she was shoving some of her food onto my plate in order to get desert. we had a lot of fun with our "cousin" ed. the rest of the day we just took it easy and enjoyed whatever came along. when we went to the beauty and the beast show it started to rain in buckets, good thing we were under cover. after a great day we headed back to POR and relaxed before going over to the bob jackson show. this guy has a lot of energy and puts on a great show. when bob found out daughter had turned 21 this year and was legal to partake of the spirits he razzed her all night long and had her lead kids in a parade around the room and sang happy b-day to her. she loved every minute of it. we have been to POR many times and this was our first time to take in the entertainment. glad we did as it was a nice ending to a nice day. (FP moments not included)
