Are we excluded from getting PIN offers in the mail?

I've heard stories of this mythical "PIN" offer that comes in the mail. In my 20 years of travelling to Disney, I have received 1 PIN code. Do you think DVC members are purposely excluded, given that we own DVC and will go back anyways?

I know I would throw in an extra trip here or there with the right offer.

I've gotten several PIN offers in the last few years, and I've been a DVC member since 2001. So yes, there's hope. :wizard:

I haven't gotten a single PIN since we joined DVC ...grrrrr!

We would totally book a package in addition to our dvc stays. Come on Disney Destinations...email me!

Log on to the Disneyworld website and get a quote for a package. Sometimes this will trigger a PIN a few weeks later. Good Luck!

I know my wife gets a PIN offer a few times a year. One thing we learned is to register a user account on the Disney World website. Make sure you have a couple of saved itineraries as well as play with the custom map maker. When Disney sees that you have not purchased any of your trips, they tend to start sending out PIN codes to help "seal the deal". ;)
My wife took a solo trip in December on one of the PIN codes she received.

Sometimes it doesn't hurt to call Disney Reservations and ask if there are any Pin Codes associated with your name. I have heard of some who have done this and found out that there was one, when they hadn't received anything in the mail or by email.

Would have to agree with this. Seems to have helped us too, we get 1-2 a year usually after pricing out a cash trip. Shawnpirate:

I have tried everything, short of standing on my head, no PINs, ever.

I just got a pin code in the mail 2 days ago for the first time.

Of course it came addressed to my 9 year old son. :headache:

Nothing since 2006 and we have stayed a few nights cash since joining.

I get pins by email about every other month...I am always surprised at the frequency they send them to me.

My girlfriend, who is not a DVC member, called the Disney Reservation number asked about getting a pin code. The rep told her that the first thing she should do is set up an account on the site. She was told the offers are randomly sent out and to just watch and hope.

We get emails with pin codes pretty regularly. I thought that it was because we once stayed at Pop century for a night when we had to fly in early to beat a snowstorm. I didn't realize we might have gotten them because we have DVC.

My hubby use to be the one who'd get all the pin code emails. Now it seems to be me. I got 2 last month for some reason. Like others have said it's just luck if it comes to you. :)

About a month ago DH received an email PIN that was addressed to my dad in the body of the email.

Last year, we paid for their trip to join us for my milestone birthday. CRO said we couldn't use the pin, even though we paid for the room that triggered it. (?)

A second call to CRO the day before the PIN expired was more successful--I guess they still had rooms, so we were allowed to use it :confused3.

I just got a LETTER from Disney asking me to renew my annual pass--addressed (at my address) to a friend who died a year and a half ago. Have no idea why her name was associated with my address.

I've never received a PIN. My wife once received a PIN at her parent's home in her maiden name. She hadn't lived there for 10 years, 5 of which she had been married to me.

I reserved rooms in my mother's name and my stepson's names in the past (using my home address as theirs for privacy reasons) and we get monthly PIN codes for them, it seems.

What's funny is that we also get codes for combo names - as in, stepson's daughter's first name "Emma" and my mother's entirely different last name "Smith". Emma Smith? Marketing gone mad!
