We (my DS-6 & DD-8) are booked for the Wonder 4-day on 3/24. This is Spring Break for most of the nation, and I've been told "the ship is full". I'm having visions of Ft. Lauderdale mayhem with crowds. Is this a 'not so great time to cruise'? When (for the future) is the best time (crowd wise) to cruise?

I'm guessing you're unlikely to have Ft. Lauderdale type mayhem, but I don't know about the crowds in general.

We were on a "full" ship last Easter week. I anticipated mobs of people, but, to tell you the truth, it wasn't bad at all. The only place I found it to be really crowded was around the pools. If you want to spend the day at one of the pools, try to get their early and grab a couple of chairs. They are taken fast! Other than that, it was fantastic. You're going to love it!

my spring break is the next week (first week of april) and i know the boats are full then. we were thinkin about maybe cruising then, but decided on the week in Feb. because it would be nice to have a break. The boat I know is full a lot around spring break. It was full the last time I was on it. Walking by the Mickey Pool is crazy when the boat is full. SOOO MANY LIL KIDS.

We sail on the Magic on 3/23 as its my kindergarten DD's spring break week and already took her out of school for a week in November for another trip. We cruised last June on a 3 night for our 10th anniversary and they told us the ship had over 2,700 passengers. I don't think that is quite full, but pretty close. That being said, other than a fewcrazy hours at the pools during peak swim times, you never would have known there were so many people on the ship. I think its just set up well to deal with a lot of people and we were never overwhelmed by crowds. Have a great trip! :bounce:

Don't worry!! Hakuna Matata!!
The ship is built to handle the crowds. It won't feel like the mob scene at WDW...you will barely notice. The only accommodations you might need to make will be to get to the shows early to have the best choice of seats and to disembark early at Castaway Cay if you want a close-by spot (if you don't mind walking, then there will be places left even if you disembark late).
We have been on the ship when it is full and also when it has been virtually deserted. Personally, I hated it when it wasn't crowded...it felt weird to be in diningrooms and a theater there were half empty. The energy of the crowd adds to my experience!
