Are we being "Punished" for not being gay?

Some thoughts/questions on the gay marriage/benefits issue though:

- A lot of the gay people I know don't care about not being able to marry, but I don't see the problem with at least a civil union. What's the deal?

- If gay marriage were allowed, how do people that consider themselves bisexual not feel left out in the equation?

- If we consider bisexuals, how does that not open the question of polygomy?

- Does a sex-change render a eligable partner ineligable?

- What about someone that's "pre-op"?

A lot of hetrosexual people dont care about marrige either. As a gay person , if the governement is going to grant marrige to one group it should grant it to everyone , or it should be civil union to everyone and let any organised religion do the marriage thing. It is not because some people dont care about marriage that they should not have the right to marry.

Second , it is not gay marriage , but same-sex marriage: if the bi-sexual person decides to marry either sex , than be it. It is the choice of the individual.

It does not open the door to polygamy. Here in Canada , even with same-sex marriage recocgnize , you still can marry only one person. What you do with you sex-life after that is totaly up to you as a married person.

A gay person does not want a sex change. A transexual person whants one. Until the person asks to be legally recocgnise as the other sex, they maintain all the rights of they' birth sex. So I guess that , if they get the operations , but dont seek the legal recognistion of there new gender , they could stay married. But usually , if , lets say a women who consideres herself to be male , she will be attracted to females: so while she is still female , she , according to to US law in most states wont be able to marry or gat a civil union with her partner: once she legally becomes a man , he still will be attracted to women , and should be able to marry of get a civil union with that person.
